Diego Zapata wrote:"Yeah, well, neither is drinking people," he countered with an instinctual growl. He flashed the claws of his other hand towards the vampire's pretty face, hoping the creature would flinch away so he could break free and press the attack with a kick.
Sean Hall wrote:At about the same time the vampire arrives Sean casts his spell. He thrusts his hands forward and white hot flames erupt in a narrow cone at the vampire coming towards him.
Diego Zapata wrote:"Break in three... two... break!" Diego said before launching himself at the downed vampire. A kind of warrior instinct took over and this time he didn't hesitate as he drove the stake toward its necrotic heart.
Vivienne Chinnoir wrote:Vivienne turned and stood between Sam and the oncoming security. With a hard pull the water, wine and spilled punch flew to her fists and lashed out hard, striking at gun and gut like whips.
That creates its own brand of chaos, though pain lances across her arm as a bullet grazes too close. One of the guards seems to be holding up to the blows better than the others and he pushes his way forward through the blows, advancing on her.
Narrator wrote:The vampire slides to the side, the cone only catching the arm of his jacket on fire. That does seem to distract him as his follow-up punch at Sean isn't as good as it could be.
Narrator wrote:Gemma pushes forward and gets lost quickly in the throng. Bianca lifts her arms to block the incoming stake, catching his wrist and throwing him back first against the wall. "Your blood is mine, kitty," she says, advancing on him.
Diego Zapata wrote:His thoughts focused, he saw red, and his eyes lit up as if pale blue embers of a dying star and his. He charged the oncoming vampire with fresh ferocity and pummeled her with a series of rapid jabs as ghostly fire trailed down his arm, burning like sunlight where it touched the vampire.
Vivienne Chinnoir wrote:Once again Vivienne focused on flooding the guns then with a turn of her wrists her whips become blunted and take aim for the heads of the other guards before she gives full attention to the individual managing to advance.
Sean Hall wrote:Sean tried to avoid the blow at the last moment, but was only somewhat successful. The punch hit his shoulder and it knocked Sean back into a table, which was probably the only thing that prevented him spinning to the ground. It did however force the cone of flame up towards the ceiling while he went backwards before he could stop the spell to avoid lighting a teammate on fire. Sean looked at the Vampire a deep and unnerving blood lust rising to the surface within him and with it a spell he wasn't aware he'd known that he spat at the vampire. The floor cracked from the force of the spell as Sean used what most would consider dark magic, though Sean would likely argue otherwise. Perhaps a dozen dozen runed shadowy tentacles seemed to force their way into their plane to try and drag the vampire through to wherever it is they'd come from.
Samantha McManus wrote:Sam isn't under the impression that Miriam even lifts (bro) and so is knocked sprawling.
Her phone slips from her pocket and goes skidding across the floor.
Can't find Wanda.
Scent is kind of cold.
Narrator wrote:Bianca screams, driven back by the burning punches. She manages to duck under the last swing, lashing out with a kick of her own, driving him back a few steps and buying herself some space to move.
The guards seem to not be holding up well, but the one man moves forward quicker than she expects, slamming into her with a significant amount of force and driving her back away from the other guards.
Diego Zapata wrote:He stumbled, giving her a growl as a burning gauntlet formed around his right arm. The three long, phantasmal claws it ended with flickered with wisps of blue fire that didn't hiss in the rain. Without a word, he rushed the vampire with beastly speed.
Vivienne Chinnoir wrote:She slides backwards, out from under the balcony. Now she too can see Wanda.
"No..." She "grabs" the guard who rammed her, somewhere in the left side of his chest there is a flutter. "I gave my word..." She growls.
Sean Hall wrote:Sean gestures towards another group of vampires sending a signal to whatever the tentacles are a part of to head in that direction. A small angular magic circle is visible on the hand he uses to direct the... whatever it was. Small sparks arc between the runes.
The guard clutches at his chest, obviously in a great deal of pain. Gemma comes from nowhere, slamming into the guard shield-first and knocking him back into the hallway. She plants her feet and the rainbow shield grows wider and taller than she is, blocking the hallway. "Gather yourself, Lady! Revenge is for when you've lost!" She grunts as the guard begins to beat on the shield, but it holds. She's obviously injured, but she's standing and if Vivienne had to guess, Gemma's previous opponents are not.
Sean Hall wrote:The rifts expanded as he lost focus on the spell and he made a split second decision. He left himself open as he began dismantling the summoning spell lest it begin murdering them all.
Miriam Bell wrote:"Wanda? What... what are you doing here?" Miriam blinks.
Samantha McManus wrote:"...take a wild guess," Sam grunts as she gets up, wincing.
Diego Zapata wrote:Heedless of the lighting strike, Diego continued his berserker fury through a few low-level vampires foolish enough not to take Bianca's fate as a warning. Setting his sights on Miriam, whom he hadn't met, he began stalking her way next. The dead must rest after all.
Vivienne Chinnoir wrote:"Still human..." Wither she was referring to herself, Wanda or the guards she was facing was up to interpretation, but Vivienne gave a nod and knelt to the floor. With her hand flat against the flooring she pulled the water that was pooling due to Tropical Storm Wanda and sent it hard down the back stairs and into the guards.
Wanda Johansson wrote:The spell resists his attempts dismantle it. This thing wants to be here. It's happy to be here. It's basking in the death and destruction and not just the death and destruction it's creating. Still, gradually, he begins to reign it in and the rift begins to close.
Wanda Johansson wrote:"They aren't the ones summoning creatures that don't belong on Earth into my ballroom," she says, flicking another lightning bolt at Sean. She continues to speak without skipping a beat. "That's where you're wrong, Vivienne. For the first time ever, I'm free. Free to use my gifts and free from being hurt by those who pretend to care." The wind in the ballroom whips up, beginning to spiral and picking up small objects in the process.
Diego Zapata wrote:Diego ran over to check on Sean.
"Shit is right. You okay man? You're kinda bleeding."
