Xaviers!

Gemma pushes down the hallway, her shield scraping the hallway walls as she pushes for the kitchen. She's favoring one leg, but doing her absolute best to hide it. Her rainbow blade is held out behind her, carefully gripped. She slows as they get closer to the kitchen. "It's getting hot up ahead. I can feel it even through the shield."

"Good news, modern kitchens mean water." She followed behind Gemma and a small rippling ribbon of water followed her. Vivienne directed the water past them both and up over the front of the shield, cooling it and hopefully allowing them closer.

She pushes closer. Apparently someone had closed the kitchen door, but the crackling was apparent. She shifted position and kicked the door in, bringing the shield back around to block the sudden wash of heat. Something particular uncomplimentary escapes her lips in their native language. "Okay, that's hot!" The fire had rapidly engulfed the kitchen. Apparently things had not been entirely up to code when they'd remodeled the kitchen.

Vivienne quickly placed her hand on the wall of the stairway, feeling for the water within the pipes, she pulled and pushed the water hard, directing it all to the nearest faucet.

The faucet groaned and then started spewing water as the pressure overcame its fittings. Gemma peered through the growing smoke. "It's helping... I think."

Vivienne began to glow as she closed her eyes and pulled more. Along the street, "neighbors" in the process of water use would begin to notice a steady dropping in pressure.

"This isn't working," Gemma says, "there must be something fueling it."

"The school's ovens rely on electricity for heating..." She opened her eyes a the sounds of the sirens.

"The mortals can take over." She quickly pulled enough water back and around them to transport them out of the house or more precisely out and into the decorative koi pond of the garden three houses down.
