Jezabelle appeared to be a little hesitant about the offer. It was a chance to get her message out, to try and put mutants in a better light... she couldn't pass that up. She didn't care about her 15 minutes of fame, that was the furthest thing from her mind. But she still had her doubts.

"If I can help make something good out of all of this, I'd be happy to. We don't have to do it live though, right?"

"Not at all, no. Hell, you can check out the broadcast of the protest we did first if you want. We don't have the biggest audience out of all the news programs, but we're a bit more liberal. I want to get your side of the story. Kinda like a first person account slash interview kinda deal."

Any uncertainties Jez had seemed to melt away with the growing realization that this was a chance for her to help her cause, and maybe redeem herself a bit.

"Then I'll gladly give you that exclusive Mr. Baxter. I certainly hope that I live up to your expectations."

"Fantastic! Here, take my card..." he says, fishing out a business card out of his pockets and holds it out to Jez. "I understand you'll probably want to get home and get some rest after the day you've had, but it'd be great if we could do this as soon as possible."

As Theo Baxter is handing Jez his card a group of police officers bust through the door, wrangling a very uncooperative Chinese woman who appears to have bits of duct tape stuck to her slinky black part dress and is insulting the officers dragging her in Chinese. At least that's what it sounds like. Behind her two officers are flanking an empty suit that walks into the station.

Basil's head turns as he notices Jez. Now this whole being brought in thing was starting to sink in.

Basil stops, not thinking that it might upset the officers.

"Ms. Sherlock? " He said in an inquisitive tone.

Jezabelle plucked the card from Theo's hand, looking over before replying. "That sounds perfect, I'll get back to you as soon as I can. For now though I've got to make some calls and see if I can get some decent lawyers in there to help out the others who..."

She was cut short by the startling entrance of the police dragging an apparent mad or drunken woman into the station. She was so distracted she pretty much overlooked Basil entirely until he spoke to her.

"Oh! Basil? What are you doing here?"

"That woman attacked my friend and I. We've already called in X-Corp, but if you don't see me back on campus tomorrow you may want to alert someone."

Basil stated, his growing distaste for the situation at hand evident in his voice.

"Why are you here?"

Theo can't help but perk up at the commotion and just kind of lingers for a moment, his journalistic gut feeling telling him to at least see if there's something worthwhile happening.

"Sorry to butt in, but did she attack you because of your... mutation?" he asks, for a moment sounding like he was about to say 'condition' before thinking better of it. "Sorry, Theo Baxter, reporter for BBC Four. I was just talking to your friend here." he adds, holding his hand out to Basil.

"I was arrested for being at the summit protests when the riot broke out. Do your parents know about this? They must have a lawyer."

In her hurry, Jez almost forgot about Theo being present. "Oh, Mr. Baxter, this is Basil Benson. He's a student at the university as well."

"I'd really prefer they didn't. I haven't been officially charged with anything, so far as I know."

Basil winced physically when Jez said his full name. Nothing for it now... I'm cooked.

Basil shook the other man's hand. "Charmed." Basil replied, though he didn't sound it.

How lovely that all the worst sorts of people are congregating in the same places as I am today.

"I don't think that she did. It felt like a personal vendetta between herself and my friend, but her willingness to cause a scene in public prompted me to help subdue her so that no one got hurt.

And I assume that is why I am here now."

"Sounds like London Police is arresting all kinds of everyday-heroes tonight." he chuckles, which earns him a number of dirty looks from the police officers nearby. Not that they were looking at him favorably to begin with.

"Don't answer any of their questions until they get a lawyer in there with you. Remember, there's no such thing as off-the-record." Jezabelle was doing her best to help. What a nice girl.

What a lovely topper for the evening."

"Well... Have they said what they're taking you in for? Because this does not look like a day that casts the actions of the police in a very good light." he says intentionally loudly. "Wouldn't want to unrightfully detain any people in front of a reporter. I mean, that'd just be a terrible idea."

"They want to get my statement down in writing." Basil replied to Theo.

Basil sighed and pulled a pen from his breast pocket along with a card and jotted down the number, handing it to Jez with the number turned away from Theo intentionally.

"Ask for my mother. Her name is Jessica." Basil replied, hoping mum would go easier on him.

"Well, your friend here obviously isn't too fond of y presence, so I'll hopefully talk to you later, Miss Sherlock." Mr. Baxter nods at her before heading out.

Basil watches Theo leave, and for a fraction of a second thinks about apologizing. But then he thinks better of it.

"Guess I'll go wait for Harold and mum then. Thanks for the assistance."
