Not much longer after that the authorities arrive and after some confusion about whether or not they should wait for X-Corp, take Weikun into custody themselves, seeing how she's not a mutant. They take Basil's testimony and, despite a quick glance at some of the security footage, take him along. Officially to get his testimony all worked out and signed, though it's obvious that the officers aren't super comfortable around an invisible mutant and are being extra suspicious careful.

Basil did not dispute the officers, though he had never been processed before and the idea of him maybe being arrested hadn't actually formed up in his brain yet.

He was unhappy to be inconvenienced so, but went along willingly enough.
