"It's A Magical Place. "

[Basil Benson]

Basil had secured them a room not too far from their end goal destination. Basil had set everything up for dinner to be waiting on them when they arrived, hot and fresh. After a nice dinner by Basil standards (in which he actually did manage to clean his plate), Basil had verbally ushered Chase away and onto what he promised would be 'better things'.

Better things proved to be a night club only a few minutes walk from their hotel, with a large set of orangish-coloured, glass double doors.

"Welcome to Tahiti." He replied, the tone of his voice suggested a smile was on his face. He was wearing something that stood out much more than Chase was used to, A blue plaid blazer with a pastel orange tie, and grey dress shirt and slacks that matched each other in colour. His standard shiny shoes on his feet, he turned to look at his friend to assess his opinion of the place.

Basil had been kind enough to let Chase borrow an appropriate fancy clubbing outfit, so he was dressed up in a black suit and tie with a checkered grey and white dress shirt.

"It's... a tiki club..."

It didn't help his nerves that the last time he was anywhere this upscale he was sent there to murder someone.

[Basil Benson]

"Well... yes ." He says a bit at a lose for words, like Chase had been dropped on his head or something. He quickly realized Chase wasn't from here, so he had to explain.

"Royals attend this club. Celebrities from all over the world. And it's one of the few places you don't have to have a membership to get in. There's women in there so gorgeous you've not yet imagined them.

And men I suppose if that's your bag." Basil stated as he slipped his left hand into his blazer to remove something, realizing Chase still hadn't admitted to either.

[Chase Delacroix]

"So, the world's fanciest tiki bar," he corrected, not commenting on the subject of sexual orientation because honestly he hadn't even started figuring that out.

[Basil Benson]

"Listen mate, pleeeeaaase don't spoil this for me. I've never been in here before and I need this." Basil explained, though not explaining why he 'needed' it.

[Chase Delacroix]

"Don't worry Basil. I'll behave," he chuckled.

[Basil Benson]

"Fantastic! Let's go!"

Basil had a surprisingly easy time of getting them in, after he'd dropped his name and verified his own identity through the use of a mirror and his driver's license. However, an invisible man bartering his way into such a fancy place did cause it's share of interest among the place, especially the people forced to stand in line to get in.

Once they were in, Chase saw looking at mostly what he expected: A tiki themed bar, with many seating areas for parties of people to sit in groups, and a few smaller spaces for people like himself and Basil (and of course, seating at the bar of course). There was music in this area, thought not so loud that Chase was forced to raise his voice in order to communicate with his friend.

Beyond all of that, Chase would occasionally hear the same music from another source, slightly louder though again, not so loud as to be intrusive. When Chase's ninja senses forced him to find the source of this, it would be another area entirely, behind a opaque orange glass door the same colour as the outer doors. It seemed to be a dance club with a black, glittery floor, likely meant to mimic the sand on the beach of the club's namesake.

Basil clasped his hands to either side of his face in excitement, cradling his own chin. "I'm home." He stated in a moment of misty eyed excitement.

"Can we just live here instead? I'll sleep under the bar and let you sleep on the probably cleaner top half, like bunk beds."

[Chase Delacroix]

"You're actually used to this?!" he asked loudly.

[Basil Benson]

Basil pulled away a bit, not sure why Chase was talking so loudly.

"Not this specifically no, but something akin to this in luxury." He stated, leading the two of them towards the bar so they could get drinks.

"Everyone should have the right to live like this." He stated, sounding genuine enough. "If life isn't lived to it's fullest, then what's the point in it all?"

[Chase Delacroix]

"Yeah, but one man's fullest is another man's bleeding eardrums."

[Basil Benson]

"Well we can't all be mysteriously cool guys who enjoy library level stillness every second of the day, mate." Basil laughed, clapping Chase on the back with his left hand.

[Chase Delacroix]

"I just save my energy for fighting crime," he smirked.

[Basil Benson]

"Uh huh. Sounds exhausting. Glad it's not me." Basil replied sounding fully earnest. However his mind was traveling elsewhere now, seeking out attractive women. Or more importantly, attractive women that might be looking at him back. It was easy to pick out who was staring at you when they didn't realize you were staring back.

He didn't particularly care if the woman was famous or rich, provided she was good looking. He never wanted fame for the sake of it, and he had more than enough money.

[Chase Delacroix]

"From what I've heard, you gave those Mongol warriors a good fight."

[Basil Benson]

Basil scoffed. " Please. Getting injured doesn't mean I did something, and I think my room mate would agree with me on that one."

He was waiting for his go round at the bar while the talked to one another.

[Chase Delacroix]

"You all survived a dangerous situation. That's still a victory."

[Basil Benson]

"Yea, well.. Even if I agreed, no one gets to see my cool hero scars." Basil replied, sounding a bit bitter about it. He turned his attention to ordering drinks now that he had the bartender's attention.

[Chase Delacroix]

He returned a subtle guilty look, if more for the fact his own scars weren't heroic.

"Sorry. Didn't mean to bring you down or anything."

[Basil Benson]

"You're not. I know i'm a coward. It's been written into my DNA to be one." He replied, casually leaning against the bar while he waited, still bird watching.

"Besides, there's got to be someone in this bloody country with an invisibility fetish, eh? Just a matter of finding them. Even if I have to dig through every tiki bar, roof top club and greasy pub in it." He chuckled ruefully.

[Chase Delacroix]

"Try the goth crowd. Just tell them you're a reverse vampire."

[Basil Benson]

"Should I also tell them I glisten under solar rays or is that selling it too hard?" Basil quipped.

"Sad part is when you could see me that was almost true." He mused, commenting on his own paleness that Chase had yet to be able to see.

[Chase Delacroix]

"Too hard. That's... probably an entirely different crowd," he smirked.

[Basil Benson]

"Well I have been put on record as stating that at this point in my life, I'd settle for a fat-bottomed girl with a penchant for a little rough play and some light discipline who's willing to sit in my lap and tell me everything is going to be alright.

I suppose hanging around the people known for publicly wearing bondage gear might up my chances a smidge."

This time, Basil didn't really sound like he was joking. But then he was distracted by the arrival of drinks.

"Aha!" He states, throwing money on the bar, and handing a blue tiki mug to Chase, filled with a similarly blue liquid that smelled almost overwhelmingly fruity.

"Cheers!"

Chase stared at Basil oddly for a moment but turned his attention to the drinks before commenting.

"To living life to the fullest!" he toasted before taking a drink.

[Basil Benson]

"Yes!That is the spirit I want to hear!" Basil replied to his friend before consuming a large portion of his drink with a refreshed "Ah!"

"Now then, what sort of trouble are we getting ourselves into precisely? I need to know what I am aiming for."

[Chase Delacroix]

"I... don't really know much about the fun kind of trouble," he said, a little embarrassed.

[Basil Benson]

Basil moved away from the bar with his drink to lead Chase to a spot to sit, from which Basil could see the dancers having themselves a damn fine time of it.

"Well around this sort of establishment it usually involves intoxication, dancing, and chatting someone up.

Obviously the musical selection isn't exactly inspiring to you and I am down for the count on dancing, so that leaves the secondary options. "

[Chase Delacroix]

"It's just a little loud is all," he shrugged. "I would have pegged you for a good dancer."

[Basil Benson]

"I am. But my right shoulder got injured in the 'awesome battle' I got stuck in. Doctor's told me to take it easy." Basil paused for a moment.

"Still, if an attractive girl came up and asked I wouldn't say no, but I don't see a point in hurting myself further trying to advertise myself, when I can sit here perfectly comfortably with you and achieve the same goal. Being not entirely visible in a place like this makes a statement all it's own."

[Chase Delacroix]

"You really think our combined mysteriousness alone will do the trick?"

[Basil Benson]

"As much as I enjoy the atmosphere here, this is an open club, not a members one. Some of these people are already big time, but not all of them. There's a lot of souls in here stupidly trying to prove themselves worthy, so far as to hang around outside for hours just to have a slim chance of making it through those doors.

And some invisible sod and his chappy just strolled through the gates of Mordor like they were on seaside holiday.

Trust me when I say they've noticed us, and at least the ones trying to be 'cool' are currently googling the name I gave at the door and looking for my Facebook to try to figure out who we are."

[Chase Delacroix]

"Will they find you?"

[Basil Benson]

"In a fashion. They'll find the me that died when I was fifteen. I keep it there in case I need to use it,but I haven't responded to anything on it in ages and because of that people have stopped posting to it, even on my birthday.

But they would have to be extremely savvy on business affairs to be able to determine why i was let in."

[Chase Delacroix]

"That just makes you more mysterious," he grinned.

[Basil Benson]

"Precisely, lots of gossip about who the ghost in the suit is.

And further, why his seemingly normal friend is so very important to him that he would bring him."

[Chase Delacroix]

"If they only knew you were the normal one in this friendship," he chuckled.

[Basil Benson]

Basil scoffed in amusement. "Not by a long shot mate. I'm just good at hiding my weirdness as I am about hiding my skin."

[Chase Delacroix]

"Speaking of long shots, I should call you to watch me practice sometime. I've yet to show you how Katniss I am."

Basil is right, people are definitely looking their way, which, in a club with people from the upper crust around, is quite the accomplishment. Especially one table has one of the occupants staring rather intently at them, though when the Chinese woman notices Basil looking at her her expression turns much more amicable. Come to think of it, it's kind of impressive that she can tell she's being looked at just from the body language of his suit. She's sitting at a table with people who look a little out of place. More out of town diplomats or their entourage than the usual celebrity and in-crowd that populates the club.

She leans over to one of the people she's with and whispers something in his ear before getting up, brushing her hand over his shoulder before slinking away and across the club towards Chase and Basil. "Now this is something you don't see every day." she exclaims by way of introduction, her eyes lingering on Chase for a moment before turning to Basil who she clearly must have meant with that, right?

[Basil Benson]

Basil notices her coming over and quickly comments the word " neeeeeerrrddd..." In a hushed whisper before she arrives, turning his attention to her. And Basil does, in fact, assume she is talking about him.

"At this point, I'm not really seen on any given day unless you are exceptionally clever." He replies in his mischievously confident tone.
