"I got your boom right here!" Nailah yells, charging at him and swinging the stun baton at his head with both hands.

Hazard's manic glee turned cold. "Enough!" he snarled, teleporting beside her to attempt to cut her charge short with a kick to the gut.

Nailah for her part runs straight into the kick, having the air knocked out of her as she stumbles backwards and falls over, stun baton rolling out of her hand and across the pavement.

"This was supposed to be fun," he said, kicking her again and again, "Bah! It's like kicking a puppy! No challenge. At least you were capable before the tornado sweet Dorothy... no, wait, I'm Dorothy, you're the wizard... a nobody behind the curtains."

He leaned down to look her in the eyes. "Bring the Lollipop Guild next time. We'll have us a hell of a Tea Party." He grinned and vanished. He did not reappear.

Nailah curls up into a ball, whimpering, her hand still closed around the useless tracking chip. After a while she stumbles to her feet, hand on a nearby parked car to keep herself steady, the other wrapped around her side. She's gritting her teeth and while she's biting back tears right now, there's streaks in the dirt of her face. She tries to open her wings and winces, realizing she's in no shape to fly even just to a rooftop, much less back to Maldon. Stumbling along the sidewalk she pulls out her phone and starts dialing numbers until someone picks up, just going down the list of the few friends she has.

By sheer coincidence, she received a call while trying to get ahold of someone. The caller was labeled as "Tosh."

When answered, Tosh proudly said, "Guess who just got back from the Dark Ages."

"What?" Nailah mumbles, leaning against a wall and kind of dragging herself along.

"I'm back. You know, from going poof. I fought a T-Rex. That part was awesome."

"Tosh. Yeah, right. That's awesome." she says, though she doesn't exactly sound thrilled.

"Listen, I'm in London and I have no idea where exactly and I'm kind of messed up..."

"Oh! Shit... this a vigilante thing? Are you hurt?" he asked, sounding properly concerned.

"Kinda? I think i broke a rib or two and my wing's all screwed up."

"How'd you manage to... nevermind. Not important. I should be able to track your phone. Can you hold out until I can get there?"

"Probably... I don't think I'm bleeding or anything." she tries to joke and fails horribly.

"Just stay safe. I'll bring a van to you as fast as I can," he said, "Soon, assuming nobody else decides to have a medical emergency tonight."

"Nobody else? What? What's going on!?"

"The invisible guy, Basil something, he collapsed at the party. I don't know what happened yet but I think Sam said something about a telepath. It's being taken care of."

"Okay. Okay..." Not Hazard then. Right?

"Yeah it should be." A door opened and closed. "Well I'm almost to the vans. Want me to try to stay on the line on my way?"

"I don't think I'm gonna pass out. But... if you don't mind?"

"Sure thing Nai," he said. That nickname was apparently a thing now. He simply tried to keep her talking about unimportant things as he checked out a vehicle and got going.

"So... umm... how'd you get yourself beat up anyway?" he asked as he drove.

"Some lunatic has been running around London and I tried to stop him. Emphasis on tried."

"I thought your power could, you know, out-plan the bad guys."

"I dunno. It just... stopped working. Like with that time bubble. Just... nothing."

"Huh... Do you think maybe he rode here in one or something?"

"I dunno. My power worked fine with the pirates that came through the bubble. He keeps saying all kinds of stuff that don't make any sense like how he's Dorothy and I'm the Wizard? I have no idea what's going on."

"Maybe the guy's just bonkers?" he asked.

"That's what I figure. He's got all kinds of powers too, but they're, like... not all the way there either. I dunno, like they don't work all the time? Something's really weird about this guy."

"That is weird. Any idea who he is?"

"He just calls himself Hazard. He's not in any of the files we got at the Point."

"That could just mean he's new to supervillainy or to being insane."

"Maybe..." she says, sounding kind of dubious. "He sounds like he's been at this for a while but... he's nuts so maybe not."

"Or he really did come via magical tornado," he joked.

"I dunno. You're the science guy, aren't you?"

"I did just time travel. Twice. So, yes, it's definitely possible he's not from around here slash now."

"Maybe my power doesn't work on people who... don't belong?"

"Maybe? Not sure how to test that theory though."

"I dunno... I'd ask my power, but..."

"What happens, exactly, when you try?"

"Nothing. And if I push it it's like radio static in my head. How when your leg's asleep and wakes back up and the tiniest twitch makes everything freak out? Kinda like that."

"So... head full of needles? That sounds... unpleasant."

"Almost there, I think."
