The shuffling sound of Basil undressing stopped for a moment at just about the same time as Colette went for the bottle, so one could assume he was still there, but there was nothing to suggest it immediately.

"Hmmm?" Basil replied distractedly. "Sorry? Practice what?" He added as he took the bottle from her.

For some reason, it didn't disappear. After he had taken it he moved to the dresser to get the blankets from it in a fashion that sounded rather hurried.

Colette was a little amused by the sight of the floating bottle. Well Basil hadn't made HER disappear, so why should he make that? All of the items that had disappeared had been on his person most of the evening, so it made sense to her that he would have adjusted to them like getting used to a wool sweater.

"Oh, sleeping. You know, like a n- er, like everyone else? Zat is what ze suit is for."

"What suit then? They issue you a special one too?

Not that mine's useful anymore..." He realized now that he was completely invisible there wouldn't be much use for it as he pulled out Colette's blanket.

"Of sorts, zough it is not made of ze special fabric zat yours is, so in a sense it is more conventional? You've seen it before." Colette looked back with a little start before she covered her mouth. "Oh Basil, for a moment zere you looked like a ghost." Oh, right, the blanket.

"Here, you get ze bed cozy and maybe find somezing on my tablet to watch, and I'll go get dressed?" She was already retrieving a modest-sized box from her clothing rack, having been stood up between a couple of pairs of very high boots, and headed toward the modest ensuite.

Basil removed his tie, adding it to the pile of extremely restrictive things to wear that he no longer wished to, but stopped there, keeping on his shirts, trousers and socks. After putting his cufflinks in his man bag so he wouldn't lose them, he made himself comfortable and sat on Colette's bed, then draped the blanket over his head like a shitty Halloween costume for his amusement. Once he heard the bathroom door open again he'd make the appropriate "WoOoOooOOooooOoOOoOooo' sound.

"SPpPPpPpppoooooooPpPPppyyYyyyYyeeeeeeeeee!" He exclaimed, mostly just to make himself feel better about his situation and to relieve the tension of it.

He had completely ignored doing anything with her tablet other than keeping it safe in his lap, being that he was so involved in this. With the blanket over his head, he couldn't really see her.

Colette eventually returned from the bathroom to spend some time with her spooky company. When Basil would peek out from under the blanket he'd see her wearing the red latex suit she'd been wearing for Halloween, tugging at the wrist of one of the red gloves. The black spots were gone, it seemed she'd repurposed the clothing to make her costume in the first place. Oddly, her hair was utterly massive, her pigtails like someone had braided pool noodles. She picked up her bottle of water and sat on the edge of the bed, taking time to have a sip.

"Did you find anyzing worz watching Basil?"

Basil's arms went down somewhat dejectedly, sitting under the blanket for a few moments before throwing off the cover to pout a bit.

But what was there distracted him from the pouting.

"I think I juuussssst did." He replied. Colette's tablet sitting at an awkward angle and off, suggesting he wasn't holding it at all.

"I like the braids."

Colette smiled. "Zank you. You were far too generous zis evening, so I had to find somezing to do wiz all of zis... extra me."

"You know it's alright if there's 'extra you'." Basil replied to the statement, recognizing it was the second time she mentioned it.

"I don't really mind. The only reason I let you borrow my coat is I didn't want you to bust a seam and end up feeling too exposed on the train.

And I only picked out that particular size of dress because it seemed to be close to what you normally preferred, eyeballing it that is."

Colette flushed a little bit. "You don't mind as in you wouldn't notice? Or you don't mind as in you would tolerate it? Zose are two very different zings."

Basil decided to be a bit more blunt about things as he didn't really want to be crude this early in the relationship, but he felt like she wasn't quite getting it.

" I have a woman pinned to my wall who spent eight years being ridiculed for being too fat by Americans, which is irony to a t.

Point is: Why do you think that might be?"

Colette hid her face in her hands for a moment before she looked back in Basil's general direction.

"So, was zat your plan? Did you just want to fatten me up so you would have more to cuddle wiz?" Her tone was teasing and friendly, not accusatory.

Basil paused for a moment before responding as he did when mid thought. His response sounded awkward, potentially embarrassed.

"Well no, I wasn't aware that would happen. I fed you because you needed to be fed. Part of me being your..." Basil paused his thoughts for a moment.

"Well, whatever you want to call me is for me to care for your well-being. The rest of it is just a fortunate happenstance.

Aaannnd information I'll be noting for later now." He added, trying not to sound too inordinately interested.

Colette nodded her head before she turned and looked straight ahead. Her braids began to take on more normal dimensions while her suit creaked as her figure became more zaftig, especially on the hips - thanks gravity. She laid back on the bed, resting her head upon a pillow covered in a clear plastic bag which crinkled with her movement.

"Come, Basil. I know zat you must still be a bit distraught about your latest development, and would razer not be alone. I am happy zat I can be here for you, when you have been zere for me so many times already."

Basil tried to relax and snuggle into her bed. The coat Coley had been leant nearby, he rolled it up and stuck it under his own head.

He then passed the tablet to Colette.

"You pick. I don't watch much television, so I'm sure it will be exciting and new for me."

Colette shifted herself a little closer to Basil and began to idly flip through Netflix for something to watch. Of course as is often the case with the service she spent more time just looking at what was available than actually watching anything. By the time she had started to narrow down her choices the busy day and alcohol were beginning to take ahold of her, and she began to drift off.

Basil was mostly silent as he let Colette find what she wanted to watch.

The tiny bed only allowed so much space for two individuals and they eventually shifted in such a fashion that her torso was nestled into his own, pillow under her head. After he noticed she'd fallen asleep, he shut down the device and put it aside in the nearest safe spot he could reach from his Colette pinned location.

He gave her a peck on the forehead.

"Bonne nuit, ma reine de gelée."

The next morning, Chisaki was found looming blankly over the two of them when they awoke. She was already wearing a wig, lenses, and full make up, but for some reason still had her pyjamas on, hood up and all.

During the night, Colette's facial features had slowly lost their definition, her hair subsiding into her form until just a featureless egg-shaped orb rested upon the pillow. Still, even without "eyes" she could see, so when movement and light began to feed her floating nuclei brain she eventually stirred with a start, though without a sound. She had no mouth though she must scream. She had forgotten about her guest that morning as well, her movements to get away from this "threat" pushing against him instinctively.

Basil felt himself be pushed away, and that's how he awoke. He noticed the Japanese girl staring at him.

"Bloody fucking hell! What're you doing you daft bird?!" Basil cried out at the voyeur staring at them.

Colette's head began to reform into something more human, her haircut short and cropped to her head.

"Chisaki, you startled me! Ehn, us. What is ze matter?"

"That one is visible." The girl replied as if in a trance.

A cheerier, sunnier self pushed through, though that one seemed exhausted.

"Good morning Colette-senpai." She greeted inside of a yawn.

Basil wasn't visible at all, not even his clothes, just like the night before.

"What are you on about? " Basil replied, determined to be grumpy about the creepy serial killer woman looming over his... Well, Colette''s bed.

Colette sat up, almost slipping off the end of the mattress, catching herself on her night stand. She looked in the direction of Basil's voice and could see only the impression his weight made in the bed.

"Yes Chisaki, please explain what it is that you mean?"

"I had seen him. He is wearing a white dress shirt and blue slacks with an abnormally high waist that match the fabric colour and texture of the suit jacket I found on my bed. "

It seemed she was describing just seeing his outfit as per normal, but then she added " His hair is black and kind of curly, it is combed to the right and shorter on the other side. He is pale skinned and very thin.

I had seen him." She reiterated.

Despite his harsh, barely not even whispers whispering, Chisaki continues to stare in her amiable, blank way, though previously mentioned grogginess seemed to be making it a slightly less creepy stare.

"Sometimes I bite things." She replied, and then doesn't bother to clarify which things.

"You are the librarian. You are friends with Delacroix-san." She acknowledged.

"You are also Colette-senpai's... boyfriend?" Chisaki asked, seemingly cringing a bit at the word.

"Library assistant." Basil corrected. "Basil Oliver Benson.

But as far as Colette's boyfriend... you'll have to ask her that." He replied, trying to be polite to her for Colette's sake, not wanting to mess this up again. Colette couldn't see that he was looking at her to answer the question.

"Chisaki Watanabe, 18, freshman." She replied, somewhat shotgunning information she was usually politer with.

Pink fleeced shoulders shrugged. "Whatever." She replied to Colette congenially enough, and amid a yawn.

The concept of Colette having a boyfriend didn't seem to bother her much.

"I folded your things and put them over there." She replied to Basil motioning to the collected items she found on her bed, then went to sit down and picked up a magazine to read.

"I should probably go..." Basil replied, feeling rather awkward with Chisaki around now.

Nonetheless, Colette would feel his weight shift towards her on the bed and his slender fingers brushing against her jawline. By now she'd probably figure out this was Basil initiating kissy face time, he didn't seem to care about lack of mouth.

Colette's face had taken on it's usual features, though Basil probably wasn't used to seeing her with her hair so short. She must have needed to get some breakfast soon.

"If you must Basil. I hope zat I was able to help you have a good night's rest." She closed her eyes and presented a pair of exaggerated pink lips, letting Basil lean in as she didn't want to kiss his eye or something.

"Slept better here than I do in my own bed." He replied. "We'll have to do it again some night."

Basil gave her a kiss and tried to hold in his amusement at the awaiting face she made, somewhat failing.

"I must dear, early shift at Blacks." He joked."I'll see you later, I'm sure."

Basil collected his pile of things, then looked at Chisaki, not that anyone could tell.

"Good day Ms.Watanabe."

Instead she said "Ooohh, new Moi-meme-Moitie designs..."
