He sighed. "Look. I... appreciate the lunch counter counseling, but I don't really like talking about my feelings. So can we move on?" he asked, finishing up his food selection and preparing to move to a table.

There's some arguing at the back of the line that quickly settles down with the sense of someone backing down and a golden-eyed Tereza takes her place in line in front of the person who had arrived at the same time. She's looking outwardly whole, but she keeps leaning a bit to keep an eye on Sam as she works her own way through the line.

"Sorry, it's just... hard not to pick up on things sometimes," she says, following him with her tray in hand.

As Tereza enters, she offers a brief smile over her shoulder to her girlfriend.

Leo followed Sam's gaze. Boyish appreciation at being around two beautiful girls died in face of his loathing of his own body.

"I take it that's her," he said.

Tereza works her way through the line, piling her tray with more food than the cafeteria staff are used to parting with in one go. She pauses to argue quietly with one of the cafeteria workers who isn't happy with some request.

Tereza finally collects herself and nods to the cafeteria worker, finishing her pass through the line and making her way over to Sam and Leo. "No one informed them of my eating requirements," she grumbles.

It's hard to pick out over all the other smells present, but as familiar with it as she is Tereza can tell there's something a little off about how Sam smells.

Sam can tell that Tereza's trying hard not to hover, but she sits down right next to Sam. "You going to introduce me?" She says to Sam to cover up for her protectiveness as she scoots about an inch away from Sam.

Leo didn't respond to that and dug into his food to cover his silence. Sam's words just made his exile from his second home hurt all the more. He couldn't hide the sadness in his eyes.
