"Let's hope not, considering the Lady's daughter is here," she says as she starts to head that way.

As they hit the edge of the crowd, heads start to turn their way. A few of the closest knights bow their heads in respect. Gemma freezes about the time that Vivienne feels it too. The armored individuals all carry the feeling of the Lost, the banished fey.

She does pause as Gemma does, but as the heads of the knights bowed she relaxed slightly. "They are not hostile, this place, it could be acting as a means to remind them of who and what they were..."

After the initial shock, Victor was a little disappointed that he hadn't gotten armour like some of the others, until he remembered how utterly uncomfortable the stuff must have been. Counting himself lucky as he looked over the other students.

"Winning part of the tournament? Isn't that... jousting and such? Um... who here has ever ridden a horse before?"

"He is up ahead, by the ring. It should be safe, so long as he does not offend anyone or has anyone identify him as "human"."

Ainsley's arm went up at Vic's question, but recoiled in quickly at Shari's suggestion, his face turning a darker shade than normal.

A cart rolls by, laden with food, the fey walking with the court offering the equivalent of feast food to everyone they pass. They stop in their tracks when they see the small group and the one most finely dressed approaches and bows to Vivienne and Sam in turn, "Lady Vivienne. Phantom Queen. We were not aware that you would be joining us today." He snaps his fingers and two of the cart attendants hustle forward with some food. "Our apologies that we do not have a place set for you."

"Then we shall allow you ample time to correct the error. We have business to attend to first, if you can spare a page, please announce us to my Lady Mother."

"I've played polo, but I dont think that it's at all the same as jousting," Sean said watching the Fey. He tried to see if the same odd primal energy was still there.

"Apologies, Lady Vivienne, but no one sees the Lady without talking to the Green Lord. I'd be happy to send a page to track him down," he says, being as conciliatory as possible.

Sean could still feel that primal pulse still reverberating through the area. The source was somewhere in the tournament, but with the sheer amount of magic, it was hard to get a proper fix on it.

Victor smiled a little bit. "Nice to know I'm not the only one. At least if it comes down to it we can draw straws for who gets to go get knocked off a horse." He spoke quietly, so as not to disturb the magical folk in their formality.

"Yeaaahh... big no on the equine front," Diego said. He started to reach out for the food but remembered something about accepting gifts from Fey and retracted his hand.

Sean looked pained for a moment, but covered it with a smile after a moment. Staring at the weave of magic around him was a bit... overwhelming. Like looking for a certain shade of red thread in a red carpet. He adjusted the hood on his robes while examining the guards as they walked and seeing if the source started to feel at all closer as they walked through the grounds.

"Would it make you more comfortable if it wasn't a horse?" Sean said. "Could summon you something more colourful like a cockatrice or a hippogryph."

Gemmalara wrote:"You should be fine," she whispers, gathering herself. "Whoever is choosing this has a sense of humor. That's the arms of Sir Lanval whose major claim to fame involves falling in love with a fairy woman... and insulting Queen Guinevere in the process."

A smirk crossed his face, "well...if the shoe fits..."

He then promptly realized that he'd almost indirectly said "I love you" to his girlfriend of not that long, and flushed red.

"Right. Armor is warm. I'll. Uh. Follow your lead here.

"....and not eat that delicious looking doughnut on the tray of pastries."

Mmmmm....Forbidden Doughnut.

Sam would feel the sense of urgency within Vivienne growing, a very distinct "get on with it" pressure from the outside.

"Yes, if you would, please."

Sean followed Sam and Vivienne up into the stands fairly certain there wasn't a tournament event for magecraft.

Now that he's closer, Sean has a really good idea of where that other magic is coming from. The source is currently boxing with Will in the ring.

All the fey in the area seems transfixed. "The Green Lord has never taken part in the tournament," the banquet leader says quietly from his position off to the side.

"The Green Knight is the personification of the Earth's nature and it's magic. He has made a this place, not unlike the Danger Room at the school. This is place to remind those who are here who they were, giving them something to do, someone to serve."

It was a cousin of the fey magic, but wilder, and though it didn't seem possible, older. It was his protective magic that was holding all this together. He could also get an impression of another magical presence approaching from the castle, though with the crowd he couldn't quite see the source.
