[Nailah Weaver]

"Ah shoot... Hey, Ma'am, if you can hear us, we're gonna bring whoever did this to justice. I promise."

[Isolde Schwarz]

"...I'm going to have to kill him. That's why he did this."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Superheroes don't kill people."

[Isolde Schwarz]

"I'm no superhero, and he's my mistake."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Two wrongs don't make a right. You wanna prove that you're not the villain you were when you came after Wanda then step one is not killing people." Nailah says. She'd been kinda flippant towards Isolde and perhaps a little intentionally needling her, but when faced with the reality of the whole situation in this room she seems to have left that behind. Her defiance towards Isolde now has a certain sense of conviction behind it.

[Isolde Schwarz]

"You want to what, lock him up?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"Dang right I do!"

[Isolde Schwarz]

"Then you're crueler than I am."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Yeah, I'm out on the whole killing thing too. There has to be a better way."

[Isolde Schwarz]

"You know what happened with me was a million to one shot, right?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"Oh so we should have killed you too then?"

[Isolde Schwarz]

"Might've been smarter of you."

[Nailah Weaver]

Nailah scrunches up her face. Why'd the murder-prone werewolf have to be so cool?

"Well you're outvoted two to one, so nyah."

[Isolde Schwarz]

"We should go."

"And we should tell them to call the dog catchers back. They're not prepared for this."

[Narrator]

Getting to the site of the attack proved to be something of an undertaking involving a drive, then a ferry ride, then a drive to the sorts of places that GPS don't know exist. Close to the water, a small house rests, projecting cozy comfort in the midst of the rugged terrain. There are two ugly stains in the dirt outside the house, but otherwise the house looks like the residents just stepped out.

"Honestly I expected something creepier," Tosh said as he casually walked near a stain that was probably something he'd rather not step on.

[Narrator]

It was certainly a dark stain. Something, probably what he thought it was, had soaked into the dirt here. All around were the marks of the rescue crew who had come to save the residents which probably obscured any sort of other tracks that had been around the bodies.

[Isolde Schwarz]

"They're not treating it as a crime scene," Isolde says as she approaches, sniffing.

[Toshiro Narumi]

At Isolde's statement, Tosh realized what the stains were and stepped back.

"I... could go shark and sniff out other... blood... in the area."

[Narrator]

The scents out here were muddled, probably due to time and wind. It was definitely blood, but whether a wolf had been here or not was lost to the Scottish weather. The most intense smells now were the salt water and the blood in the dirt... and the smell of cleaning agent wafting up from between the boards of the porch in front of their front door.

[Isolde Schwarz]

"...I hate Scottish weather," she mutters with a frown.

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Actually..." he murmured.

"Hey Nai. Are your powers telling you anything?"

[Isolde Schwarz]

"She's not a magic eight-ball, you know."

[Nailah Weaver]

"It only goes forward, not backwards. I mean I could try, but there's not much to go on right now and that makes it difficult."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Then it looks like we have to search for clues the old fashioned way and hope we find something useful," he said, pulling his Frankensteined scanning device out of his backpack and, for lack of a better idea, doing a general environmental scan.

[Isolde Schwarz]

Isolde meanwhile goes to the porch, looking about the woodwork for carvings.

[Narrator]

"Then it looks like we have to search for clues the old fashioned way and hope we find something useful," he said, pulling his Frankensteined scanning device out of his backpack and, for lack of a better idea, doing a general environmental scan.

His scanner picks up the usual things one would expect in this area. It also picks up some sodium hypochlorite that seems out of the ordinary.

Isolde meanwhile goes to the porch, looking about the woodwork for carvings.

The porch posts sport some weathered carvings in Celtic patterns, but they seem mostly for decoration's sake. Another equally-weathered sign by the door proclaims this the home of the Stanfords. The curtains are drawn over the windows.

Tosh tried to locate the source of the sodium hypochlorite reading.

[Narrator]

The source seemed to be around the porch and around the front door.

[Toshiro Narumi]

"I got something," he said as he climbed up the porch steps, "Someone bleached around the front door. Possibly to destroy evidence."

[Isolde Schwarz]

"Is it destroying evidence if they weren't considering it a crime scene?"

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Or your Eric did it to ensure it wouldn't be a crime scene."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Good thinking, Tosh. Cover up the crime and make sure tall-dark-and-moody here can't sniff anything out either."

[Isolde Schwarz]

"Alright, then if murder wasn't worth covering up, what was?"

[Toshiro Narumi]

He kept scanning the spot for anything the bleach may have missed. "That I can't guess."

[Narrator]

It didn't seem to have missed anything, although it was a little hard to tell because he kept getting technical hiccups as he got closer to the front door.

[Nailah Weaver]

"She said he's gone. Maybe he's not dead."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Wierd... it's like something's interfering with my scanner."

[Isolde Schwarz]

"What are you basing that on?"

[Nailah Weaver]

Nailah shrugs. "I dunno, just feels weird to clean up the crime scene and then leave one of the victims anyway. They wanted to cover something up about him, but not her."
