Tereza raises an eyebrow at Sam, but doesn't seem willing to fight her on wanting out.

Ainsley seemed agreeable enough to testing, considering the situation and all. He wasn't particularly keen on being treated as a lab rat, but he made no motion to run for it.

[Will Stanton]

"You're the expert here, Tosh; we'll play this your way. Hazmat suits and blood screenings? Or do we just talk to the doctor if we start sneezing?"

[Toshiro Narumi]

For a long moment, Tosh appeared lost in thought. "More like grow fur..." he answered, watching Sam with fear of what might happen.

"Well that ship has sailed, wouldn't you say?"

[Narrator]

It isn't long after the team lifts the lockdown and contacts X-Corp that help arrives. Their first priority is taking care of the wounded, followed closely by securing the Primals loyal to the doctor. Then a medical lab is set up to do a preliminary examination of the virus and to test the team and all those altered by the doctor for traces of infection. Only Sam and the doctor himself are found to be infected and are quickly separated from the others and sent ahead to Muir for further treatment. The loyalist Primals are sent to the correctional wing of Muir while the dozen or so ones found in the holding cells are sent to the medical side of the island to attempt to reverse the changes and for observation.

As Tosh watched the victims being escorted into transports, many of whom were in various twisted states of transition, his period of distant calm after waking shattered. His own DNA had been used to do this. All of his grandfather's crimes traced back to him. So by the time the team left, his usual optimism was nowhere to be found, replaced by a sad, almost vacant stare at nothing. For once, his inner support team had nothing to say.
