It had been intoxicating. Sam was fully on her Morrigan again and it was hard to avoid the contact high the wolf was getting. She'd managed to convince the wolf that it was wiser to stay away from Sam for everyone else's safety as much as Sam's.

Must get away.

And then the colored smoke. At first, there was the confusion as to what was happening. And then Sam was shut off from her and the wolf raged. She tried to stop the change, but it was useless. There was an emptiness in her and it knocked her off balance as she tried to come to terms with what was happening. Unfortunately, there was an overwhelming flood that rushed into the emptiness and that flood was full of fury.

Must go.

A runaway horse would be more controllable some detached part of her mind registered. As the wolf turned towards where the protest had been, she hauled on the reigns hard. The wolf wheeled and she tried to kick some sort of spurs in and the wolf ran. As she bounded over the campus perimeter and out into the countryside, she held onto one thought for dear life.
