About a three seconds after Tosh started running, the warriors were on his tail, brandishing swords and spears.

That was apparently what qualified for a head start these days, as Tosh felt a spear whiz past his ear. This time, they WEREN'T just testing him.

Thanks to Ashlie, he had moved just in time to avoid becoming a Tosh-kebab.

They're trying to kill us Bro!
Ya think!

He weaved to avoid further spears as he ran like a nerd from angry jocks. Ah, memories.

The party behind him seemed to grow smaller--only about half the original number seemed to be chasing him, making a lot of noise from behind.

They're leading you into a trap Bro. Like wolves. Wolves with Irish accents.

Tosh changed direction at random and ran as fast as he could maintain. It was a good thing he had a predatory brain-buddy.

Indeed, a few moments later, a party of warriors emerged from the brush--had Tosh not changed direction, he would have run smack dab into them. That X-Training was paying off.

He had a decision to make, however--did he try to run deeper into the forest, using the dense woods to try to slow down his pursuit, or would he make a beeline for the otherside and, presumably, victory?

Believing the dense woods would probably slow him down more than his pursuers who actually knew these woods, he opted to make for the goal line.

More spears whizzed past his head as he darted out towards the open plains. If he could make it, he'd have overcome the challenge! That was fantastic news!

As he burst from the woods into the clearing, however, he found himself with a bit of bad news, as well. For he found himself face-to-face with some of Finn's dragons--what looked like a small flock of raptors, headed his way!

This was less than ideal.

"Woo! I wi..." he began to exclaim before skidding to a halt and touching his earpiece.

"Uhh... Ashlie... we've got a problem..." he whispered, staying perfectly still.

"...the raptors are here."

Ashlie perks up, her head turning as she tries to determine Tosh's location. "Fionn, we need to move. I believe he ran into your dragons." she says, not even waiting for a response before taking off in a sprint.

C'mon Bro! We can take 'em!
But Fionn will think we're a fairy sea giant or something!
And being gutted by killer lizards is better?
...damnit...

"Sorry there's no time!"

That was when the sharkman occasionally known as Bruce took over and gleefully exclaimed, "...like dragon punting time!" before he charged the raptor intent on kicking it. He was too tall to punch it.

The raptors were not prepared for their prey to suddenly shift size and shape, and tried to change direction to avoid the sharkboy.

The raptors were possibly even more unprepared for their prey turned predator to start spitting exploding balls of lightning at them as he gave chase.

Among the people not prepared for that were the chasing members of the Fianna, who stood and stared, some taking steps back into the woods as Tosh scattered the raptors across the landscape!

Bruce attempted to grab a raptor and use it to clobber a second. Yay animal cruelty?

Tosh grabbed the thing and swung--raptors were heavy, but Bruce was pretty damn strong. It was a surprisingly effective maneuver!

Bruce sent the raptor slamming into another raptor, knocking it over as it gave a wail of pain.

From the distance, a louder thudding noise could be heard.

Bruce slowly, and with growing hope, turned to look.

No! Don't be! Don't be!

It was!

A gigantic Tyrannosaurus Rex crested over the horizon, roaring.

"Duuude... are you guys seeing this!" Bruce called back like an excited kid. A big, monstrously toothy kid that spits lightning.

"Now that's a dragon!"
he grinned. "Don't just stand there du... lads! We've got a job to do don't we?!"

That's about the time when Ashlie crests a hill behind Tosh and is greeted with the sight of not one but two very un-Irish and anachronistic monsters. At least one of them's on her side, though the warriors might not think so.

"Tosh, be careful!" she shouts at him as she tries to calculate a potential solution to this problem. She readies her glove to take potshots at the T-Rex if she has to, but neither of the weapon's firing modes are designed to pierce dinosaur hide.

The Fionna formed up in a defensive formation, eyeing the "dragon" and shark with roughly equal levels of distrust.

"Oh come on! If I was your enemy, would I have let you throw spears at me?" he asked defensively, "But if you really want to be that way, I'll just have defeat the rest of your dragons by myself."

Yeah, Bruce didn't believe in being careful. As such, he approached the tyrannosaurus at a walk. "Your move lizard king."

Bruce charged ahead, attempting to use his surely superior mobility to maneuver himself to the side of great beast. He would then try a ball of lightning.

Tosh was able to scoot around with his mobility, but the T-Rex's larger stride meant he ended up slightly closer to the beast than he intended.

The T-Rex howled in pain as the electrical strike hit it, and tried to swipe Bruce with his tail.

He failed to fully avoid the tail, but grabbed on with his claws.

Ashlie frowns in lieu of a wince when Tosh is hit by the tail sweep and readies her own weapon, aiming at the giant beast's head and firing a series of super-heated plasma pellets. No point in trying to keep up any pretense at this point.

The Fianna joined in, hurling their spears in the general direction of the massive beastie.

It was...somewhat less effective than the energy blasts tearing through space. The beast roared and reared back, as Tosh charged up it's back.

He clawed his way higher and looked for a spear stuck in the beast. He would simply start wailing on it if there wasn't one.

Ashlie's not really built to be nimble, much less to avoid charging dinosaurs. But she still tries to get out of the way of the creature's charge as she fires a couple more blasts. They go pretty wide as she tries to avoid accidentally hitting Tosh, more aimed to cut through the air in front of the creature's snout to try and make it flinch away as a desperate measure.

The beast tried to swipe ASHLIE with it's tail as it swung around, attempting to avoid ASHLIE's blast.

Bruce pulled out the spear between bouts of holding on and moved even higher.

Are we really going to kill it?
We can't send it home Bro, and if it stays here people will die. What choice is there?
How are you suddenly the brains?
Haha no. You think, I do.
Without thinking.
Usually!

Ashlie tries to dodge. The operative word being tries. She manages to not be hit square in the chest but instead takes the full brunt of the blow on her arm. It still knocks her several feet back but at least it didn't risk cracking the processing core in her chest. Numerous system warnings flare up and her diagnostic systems complain about what just happened as she tumbles to the ground with a thud.

The Fianna mostly didn't answer, because they were staring at the injured ASHLIE, which was nothing like they had ever seen before.
