Ashlie picks herself up from the ground, left arm hanging slack at her side, artificial skin torn away. What's underneath can no longer really be called intricate, being mostly a mess of twisted metal. With a couple of sparks and the faint groan of metal it finally tears loose at the elbow and falls to the ground with a thud, fingers twitching unnaturally fast for a couple seconds before the limb runs out of energy. Ashlie blankly looks at the Fianna. This had gone less than ideal in so many ways.

"I'm alright." she finally says, the loose wires hanging from her elbow occasional arcing electricity between them.

Upon seeing Ashlie's state, Bruce's look of warrior pride melted away. He returned to being Tosh and ran over to her, heedless of the Fianna.

"I'm so sorry Miss Minamida... this is all my fault," he said remorsefully as he surveyed the damage.

"It's quite alright. I was due for some remodeling anyway." she jokes dryly, a little surprised how sentimental she's feeling about losing an arm. She's been damaged before, hell her face still is, but this doesn't look like it can be salvaged. Any replacement would take the place of what Dr. Minamida built and her initial design would no longer be whole, one consistent vision. What a strange sentiment.

"But you wouldn't be hurt if I'd let the warriors handle the dragon... Ican'tbelieveIjustsaidthat."

"And instead how many of them would be dead? You made the right choice to help them."

"But at first I just didn't want to get eaten," he confessed.

The Fianna had circled them by this point, staring and muttering to themselves, as FInn pushed his way forward.

"Not quite what we appeared to be, are we?"

Tosh turned.

"Not... not exactly, no," he answered.

"Care to take things from the top?"

"We didn't want to frighten you. Some things are hard to explain. As you saw, Tosh here has a power inside of him he was born with and I..." she says, looking down at her sparking stump of an arm before looking back up at Finn. "I'm what you would call a tool. A very, very complicated machine."

"And I am not a blacksmith. More of a... tinker? Is that a thing you have? Someone who designs tools and things."

"Galatea and Pygmalion," Finn muttered under his breath.

"And are you responsible for the dragons?"

"Possibly? There was an attack on our town by, let's call him a warlord, and he used a machine to come from our past. It was a brute force attack on the wall between today and yesterday, and many other things came through. We created something to undo it, but got ourselves sent here. Honestly either us or the warlord could be considered responsible... inadvertently."

"The story of Galatea isn't too far off, I suppose." she nods. "And we are responsible. As he said, we were fighting a battle against dangerous foes and made a gamble. I think we might be able to return them as well as us back to where we belong, but we'd need time and resources."

"Believe me, after what I have seen today, I will do what I can to remove you from these isles.

What sort of resources do you require?"

"Ores. Small amounts of copper and iron. Any and all stone debris. If it's from near where you found precious stones the better or even from places where heat rises from the earth. A place where we can set up a forge away from prying eyes. My offer to supply you with weapons and armor still stands as well if you'll tell me how you know the tale of Galatea and Pygmalion."

Tosh too was interested in how a medieval Irish warrior knew more about Greek mythology than he did.

Finn narrowed his eyes. "We will get you your copper and iron, and your stones, and your privacy," he said. "The rest of it...is none of your concern."

THAT wasn't suspicious at all.

"I think we should probably talk anyway. Clear up some... misunderstandings." she says, pointedly glancing at Tosh for a moment, alluding to Finn's run-in with him.

"Yeah... I... really didn't mean to eavesdrop on... whatever that was," he said apologetically.

"Fine. We can speak privately in my hut."

"What about... umm... the trials?" he asked, immediately regretting it.

"You have passed with flying colors, boy. You are now a member of the Fianna, with all the privileges that come with it.

And the obligations, as well."

I knew the dinosaur counted Bro!

"Obligations?" he asked nervously.

"To protect and further order and righteousness in the name of the Kings of Ireland."

That eased his nerves, though he didn't have the heart to say his Ireland no longer had kings.

"Oh is that all," he said, smirking slightly, "I kinda already do most of that. Just... not for anyone in particular."

"Well, now you do.

You must swear to the purity of your heart, the strength of your limbs, and the action to match your speech. You must be prepared to give your life for the greater good."

"My parents raised me to be kind and always do my best to practice what I preach, and that other me is stronger than most. Those I can swear. And I can safely say I've already risked my life for the greater good on multiple occasions. It's kind of how I got here."

"Good man. We will talk about your assignment in private."

"Let's move this conversation somewhere else then. And we should burn those carcasses thoroughly." she says, looking over to the dead dinosaurs.

"Yeah, if people hundreds of years from now find those bones where they shouldn't be, there could be... problems."

"Somehow, I find myself not worried about what people hundreds of years from now will think."

"Things shouldn't remain where they don't belong. It upsets the correct order of things."

"It for the greater good, really. And actually it wouldn't be safe to eat anyway. There's a high possibility of disease that absolutely no one here will know how to treat."

Finn sighed, annoyed. "Do what you must, then, but make it quick."
