"No offense, but our means are a little more advanced than yours."

"And I wouldn't kill anyone for a prophecy about one culture's gods returning to rule the world they only ever would have controlled part of. Besides, how can I believe this prophecy of yours when I don't even believe in the gods of my own ancestors?"

Finn swore. "The future is a hellscape, if people refuse to learn from history.

I should have known ye were not worthy of joining the Fianna."

"Killing somebody is only ever a last resort. One that I'm not even capable of. There is a lot of time to find an alternative. Please, give us a chance to prove to you that no one need to die."

"To be history requires evidence," Tosh muttered defensively, "'Gods' leave none."

"The evidence is all around, if you choose to look and have eyes to see with.

I think the both of you should be gone by the morning."

"We had an agreement. We helped you defeat those dragons. I want to heed your warning, but you're not making it easy. You're asking us to trust you, then trust me in turn. Give me a place to stand and with a lever I will move the world."

"I don't trust you, at all. I want you out of here as quickly as possible.

I see no reason to trust you. You're one of the doombringers yourself. You arm is the proof."

Ashlie shakes her head and gets up. "I have no desire to stay any longer than I have to. You're letting superstitions cloud reason. We'll find somewhere else to work on our way home. We will take food as a reward for slaying that dragon and you will never see us again."

Tosh just breathed in and out a few times to calm down and think clearly.

Okay... absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. There is an Asgardian race, so maybe these Tuatha have some basis in reality.

"Look... if there is a threat to the world, or even just the Ireland and the surrounding lands, and I can prevent it, I'll really do what I can... vow or no vow. But you asked me to make a vow, one to always have action to match my speech. So I can't use your methods without violating that, because I've gone all my life believing murder is never for the greater good."

"I appreciate you attempting to help in your own way, but it is clear you come from a weaker time."

"If that is what you employ your strength for then maybe you do still need your gods to enforce a sense of morality. You have a long way to go if murder is what you chose to do with your freedom." she says as she walks out.

"You say you're the master of your own destiny, but who are you without those gods you hate? You're nothing if you ask me," he said with a disappointed look before following Ashlie out.

Finn, frowned, and bit his thumb again, sucking and thinking. He had a feeling he'd have to take matters...into his own hands.
