"...well hello there," Sam grins up at Tereza, catching her breath.

"Hi," Tereza says, continuing to dance, trying to pass off the instincts as just a change in the dancing. "Okay, this really is fun."

"People will definitely talk now," Sam laughs, adjusting her moves for back-to-front dancing.

Which is a bit more risque.

Which is getting them a few looks, although a brief glare from Tereza seems to get eyes turned away somehow. Tereza wraps her arms around Sam's waist possessively and kisses her temple.

"They can look all they like," she smirks. "I'm the one who gets to dance with you."

"True," she says, "All mine."

"That's not very first date of you," She teases. "Want to cool down for a bit?"

She blinks, as if coming out of a trance, "Yeah, I think that'd probably be good."

"Not that I want to interrupt your fun," she laughs.

"More drinks, or maybe some fresh air?"

"Fresh air I think," Tereza says, taking Sam's hand.

"Then, as the lady's indulged me quite well so far, she gets what she wants," she smiles as she's pulled along.

Once they were outside, Tereza took in a deep breath. The night sky was still dark overhead, stars obscured by city lights.

"It's a nice night, at least," she says as she gives Tereza's hand a squeeze.

"Supposed to be clear all night, but you know how English weather is."

"If it rains we'll just cool down faster."

The moon began to peek over the edge of the horizon. Tereza stumbled slightly and grimaced, "Sam... I don't feel well."

"Maybe we shouldn't have moved right from the hot club into the cold air," Sam says with some concern, reaching out to steady her.

Tereza's skin felt hot to the touch. "I need to go." She starts stumbling down the street.

"Okay, come on. Walk with me. I can call a cab if you can't make it to the bus stop," she scrambles to keep up with Tereza.

Tereza stumbles and nearly falls, but gets back up, itching at her hands as they get to the bus stop.

"Just hang on to me," Sam says, steadying Tereza by putting one of the girl's over her shoulders and letting the ice wielder lean on her shorter frame.

"We'll get you home safe."

The bus ride is a short one, but very tense as all the other passengers stare at Tereza whose behavior proceeds to get stranger and stranger. Sam can probably pick up the growling in her head by the time Tereza stumbles off the bus and up the Maldon street for the long walk towards the school.

"We're... we're almost there," Sam says, still helping Tereza stay upright as she looks at her friend (girlfriend?) in concern.

"I'm taking you straight to the infirmary."

The moon is higher in the sky now and they made it as far as the edge of town before Tereza seriously convulsed, falling to her hands and knees and the moon's light hit her full on.

"Damn it, damn, it, no..." Sam mutters, kneeling down in front of Tereza.

"Focus on me," she says, gently lifting Tereza's chin up. "Don't... don't pass out. Just stay with me, here."

Tereza looks up at Sam, her eyes washing from their normal color to a predatory yellow. Her limbs start twitching and the growling goes from mental to physical.

"Tereza, what are you..." Sam sputters, scrambling back from the sudden growl.

She spasms again, fur sprouting from her back as her spine realigns with an audible popping sound. Other bones begin to rearrange in a parody of Sam's own power, although this change sounds way more more painful. Fingernails sharpen into claws as the fur runs down her arms and her jaw lengthens into a muzzle as the fur begins to approach her face. The sound of fabric tearing accompanies the addition of extra mass as the change begins to pack on extra muscle.

"Wh- what in the everloving hell?" Sam yelps, leaping back to her feet and away from Tereza.

It seems to stretch on forever, but the fully changed Tereza finally struggles to her feet, dark fur seeming to soak up the moonlight as she throws her head back and howls.

"T-Tereza are you... still in there?" She asks cautiously, reaching out with her mind for the girl turned hellbeast.

If she is, she's buried somewhere and at the sound of her voice, Tereza's golden eyes turn towards Sam. She begins stalking towards Sam, the unmistakable posture of a creature on the hunt.

"Easy, easy now, there's... no need for that. You just... got a bit hairy," she says, still backing away.

"You... you know me, right?"

Tereza lunges, lashing out with one claw, but even though her feral brain's in charge, she's still freshly changed and not used to her body so it's wildly off-balance.

"Damn it, I don't want to fight you," Sam mutters as she tumbles out of the way.

With another lunge, it looks as if Tereza isn't giving her the choice as she tries to sink her claws into Sam again.

"Stop it," she growls, reaching out with a growing and increasingly shaggy limb of her own as she tries to catch Tereza's wrist.

Sam catches Tereza's wrist but Tereza tries to use the grab to yank Sam towards her. Sam can pick up on hellbeast-Tereza's new assessment of Sam - not *prey*, *threat*.

Sam isn't expecting that, so she goes tumbling forward, her concentration broken and her form snapping back to normal.

The hellbeast grabs Sam, trying to fling her away and further into the trees. It seems confident in its role as the superior predator and there's no reason it can't play with what will eventually be its food.
