Xaviers!

After an eventful week or two, Haley wanted nothing more than to unwind, and news of a mutant-friendly club in Chelmsford was just what the doctor ordered. While her boyfriend--was he her boyfriend? He was cute and they hung out a lot at least?--had been with her on their dimensional excursion there wasn't exactly a lot of time to do much other than work, fight, fear for your life, and sleep fitfully.

After much prodding, Haley managed to drag him out to Chelmsford, and they walked arm-in-arm down the street towards the club. She was dressed in a short little black dress that left little to the imagination. "We're going to have fun, and you're going to dance, and it's going to be great," she grinned, looking up at her taller date.

"You know one hundred percent of my dance skills come from DDR right?" Tosh asked, feeling entirely out of his element on a date, let alone at a night club. He even had to buy the charcoal dress slacks and nice button-down shirt she suggested he wear, and he hated shopping for clothes. Still... totally worth it bro.

"And I suck at DDR."

"We'll get a few shots in you and loosen you up," she giggled. "Plus, the kind of dancing I have in mind doesn't demand a whole lot from you."

What did *that* mean?

It was a bit early, so there wasn't a huge line outside the club, and they quickly made their way into the Raven's Crest, where there was a bit of old school house playing, warming the club up a bit.

"So, cutie...buy us some drinks?" she spoke to him telepathically, not wanting to yell over the music quite yet. Haley didn't really give him much time to answer, as she continued to pull him towards the bar.

'Right. Drinks. Ordering drinks. What kind do you want?' he thought nervously as he was dragged up to the bar.

"Two shots of vodka, a screwdriver, and whatever he wants!" Haley called out cheerfully to the bartender.

"Sure thing, miss," the bartender says with a smile as he starts preparing the drinks.

"Just one..." he began, glancing at his... girlfriend?... and remembering to try to loosen up. "Two shots of vodka."

The bartender just nods and adds Tosh's drinks to the rest of what he's working on.

"Three shots? Well that'll get you loosened up," she grinned.

"Wait... three?" he asked like a confused puppy.

"I ordered the two -- one for both of us, and my drink. You just ordered two more. So yeah, three," she grinned.

"You're so cute when you look confused."

"So, what you're saying is you tricked me. You're a trickster," he smiled.

"I think you brought this all on yourself, really."

"That's what tricksters always say," he teased.

Haley downed her shot and pecked him on the cheek, which was a stretch for her, even in her heels.

Encouraged, he downed his first shot like a sheltered geek trying to look like an expert partyer.

"C'mon, Toshie, finish your drinks, I wanna dance," she giggled, sipping her screwdriver suggestively and bobbing in place to the beat of the music.

"Alright, but if I start scanning the crowd for missing friendly shark monsters it's on you," he joked before downing the other two and burping.

Haley dragged him away from the bar, her own drink apparently already finished. The thumping remix that came on next was apparently very much to her liking, as she practically squealed with delight as she danced around Tosh, quickly giving up on the boy's ability to dance and instead turned around to start grinding instead. He could follow along to that, right?

The poor guy seemed to simply not know what to do with this turn of events other than bob along to the beat. Clearly, the vodka hadn't kicked in yet.

Haley reached behind her and grabbed Tosh's hands, placing them on her hips as she continued to grind against him.

"Like this...just relax and enjoy."

Yeah Bro! Relax and do what the hot girl says!

Tosh blushed for half a second before falling into better sync with the club atmosphere.

Woo! Yeah! Party!

"See...not that hard," she thought back to him, giggling.

"Are you kidding? Dark Souls is way easier," he joked.

"I'm way easier than Dark Souls..." she thought, looking back up at him with a devilish grin.

Tosh lost his rhythm for a moment as her suggestive statement registered.

Does that mean we're getting laid later?

He then stumbled.

Damnit Bruce!

Haley cackled at the reaction and continued to dance to the beat as Tosh stumbled away from her. She danced alone for a moment before deciding to see just how mutant -friendly this place was, and floating a few inches off the ground to plant a kiss on his lips.

Tosh returned the kiss and smiled. "I can't decide if you're wonderful or terrible," he smirked.

No one seemed to bat an eye at the power display.

"I'm awesome," she grinned, placing her arms over his shoulders, still floating. "And taller than you."

"Only in your mind Short Round," he countered.

"Nope, see?" she said floating an inch higher, giggling. "This place is awesome!"

"Yeah it is," he grinned happily. "This was a good idea."

"See? And you were worried about having fun."

"I worry about a lot of things I probably shouldn't."

Ain't that the truth.
Quiet you.

"We spent way too long worrying about surviving, or being stranded in other dimensions the past few weeks. Tonight, we don't worry about *anything*. If we drink too much and get stuck out here, I have daddy's credit card to get a hotel room. If we have a few and decide to just go home and play video games and eat pizza, we can do that. she thought to him with a smile before planting another kiss on his lips and then finally dropping back down to the floor.

Off to one side of the dance floor, in a booth, a well-dressed woman sits. As Haley glances in her direction, she gives the young woman a nod of acknowledgement and a friendly smile. She raises a wine glass in salute and then goes back to scanning the crowd.

Haley wasn't quite sure the nod and salute were directed at her but they almost looked like it. She gave a friendly smile back in her direction but kept dancing and didn't wave back--the last thing she wanted was to do that awkward "excited wave at someone who was actually greeting someone else" thing.

"You are both dorks, for the record," Haley thought up to Tosh and Bruce.
