Chelmsford - Sharkboy and Telekinesis Girl Go Clubbing

After an eventful week or two, Haley wanted nothing more than to unwind, and news of a mutant-friendly club in Chelmsford was just what the doctor ordered. While her boyfriend--was he her boyfriend? He was cute and they hung out a lot at least?--had been with her on their dimensional excursion there wasn't exactly a lot of time to do much other than work, fight, fear for your life, and sleep fitfully.

After much prodding, Haley managed to drag him out to Chelmsford, and they walked arm-in-arm down the street towards the club. She was dressed in a short little black dress that left little to the imagination. "We're going to have fun, and you're going to dance, and it's going to be great," she grinned, looking up at her taller date.

"You know one hundred percent of my dance skills come from DDR right?" Tosh asked, feeling entirely out of his element on a date, let alone at a night club. He even had to buy the charcoal dress slacks and nice button-down shirt she suggested he wear, and he hated shopping for clothes. Still... totally worth it bro.

"And I suck at DDR."

"We'll get a few shots in you and loosen you up," she giggled. "Plus, the kind of dancing I have in mind doesn't demand a whole lot from you."

What did *that* mean?

It was a bit early, so there wasn't a huge line outside the club, and they quickly made their way into the Raven's Crest, where there was a bit of old school house playing, warming the club up a bit.

"So, cutie...buy us some drinks?" she spoke to him telepathically, not wanting to yell over the music quite yet. Haley didn't really give him much time to answer, as she continued to pull him towards the bar.

'Right. Drinks. Ordering drinks. What kind do you want?' he thought nervously as he was dragged up to the bar.

Haley dragged him away from the bar, her own drink apparently already finished. The thumping remix that came on next was apparently very much to her liking, as she practically squealed with delight as she danced around Tosh, quickly giving up on the boy's ability to dance and instead turned around to start grinding instead. He could follow along to that, right?

Haley cackled at the reaction and continued to dance to the beat as Tosh stumbled away from her. She danced alone for a moment before deciding to see just how mutant -friendly this place was, and floating a few inches off the ground to plant a kiss on his lips.

"We spent way too long worrying about surviving, or being stranded in other dimensions the past few weeks. Tonight, we don't worry about *anything*. If we drink too much and get stuck out here, I have daddy's credit card to get a hotel room. If we have a few and decide to just go home and play video games and eat pizza, we can do that. she thought to him with a smile before planting another kiss on his lips and then finally dropping back down to the floor.

Off to one side of the dance floor, in a booth, a well-dressed woman sits. As Haley glances in her direction, she gives the young woman a nod of acknowledgement and a friendly smile. She raises a wine glass in salute and then goes back to scanning the crowd.

Haley wasn't quite sure the nod and salute were directed at her but they almost looked like it. She gave a friendly smile back in her direction but kept dancing and didn't wave back--the last thing she wanted was to do that awkward "excited wave at someone who was actually greeting someone else" thing.

"You are both dorks, for the record," Haley thought up to Tosh and Bruce.
