A server walked up to them, offering them a couple of drinks of some spicy alcohol. "Compliments of the house," he said.

"Or accept drinks on the house! That works too. Thank you!" Haley beamed, grabbing both drinks with her TK while still dancing and floating them to her hand and to Tosh's.

"Well that was... unexpected," he said as he caught the floating drink, "Did I miss us being on the news or something?"

Off to the side, Haley could see the woman that had saluted her earlier having a conversation with the server who'd brought them their drinks. She smiles and pats him on the shoulder, sending him on his way before she returns to her seat. It's probably just a trick of the light, but Haley could swear her eyes glowed for a moment.

Haley's smile faded for a moment as she caught a glance of the exchange.

"Babe, let me know if you start feeling weird or if I start acting weird," she thought towards her date cryptically, reaching out with her mind towards the one who had just brought them their drinks, trying to skim what the glowing-eyed woman had just said from his surface thoughts.

She apparently told him he'd done a good job with the presentation and that he should take a 10 minute break before getting back to work. She looks over at Haley and smirks, wagging her finger disapprovingly and mouthing something about looking at the dental hygiene of horses given as presents.

Maybe she was being paranoid? She chewed her lip nervously for a moment, then pulled Tosh off the dance floor and towards a booth.

When Tosh finally regained control of his arm, he asked, "What's going on? Is this an X-Men thing? Please tell me this isn't an X-Men thing."

"I don't know," she sighed as she plopped into the booth, frustrated, "the...owner or something. I dunno. She just. She like had the guy come bring us those drinks and then her eyes glowed...I don't know. I'm probably just being paranoid and ruining a good night out."

"It's not ruined Haley," he assured her as he sat as well. "This is a mutant club and all, so, yeah, it's probably nothing to worry about."

She looked around the club discreetly, then turned back to Tosh, "are you still feeling okay? I promise I'll try to stop being paranoid."
