It was chilly out, but the temperatures weren't unbearable as long as you were dressed warmly. Or not, in Tereza's case. She'd asked around until she'd found an out of the way place for them to camp. Settling down in a small clearing, Tereza went about trying to figure out the tent. The trees here were old and had mercifully been left alone. Everything seems quiet except for the call of an occasional bird.

"Nice out here, even if you're making me feel cold just looking at you," Sam chuckles.

She's a bit more appropriately bundled up.

"Gotta take advantage of one of the many benefits of being me," she says with a laugh.

"If I were being uncharitable, I'd accuse you of showing off," she smirks.

"Is it an accusation if you're aware it's true?" She finally manages to get the tent up. "There we go."

"I wasn't about to aggravate the lady who's putting up the tent."

"Be honest. You were secretly hoping I wouldn't manage it so you'd have an excuse to have a werewolf blanket, weren't you?"

"I see how it is. You just want me for my fur," she says, starting to clear a space for their fire. "Want to see if you can grab some wood?"

"Making the redhead build the fire. That's gingerism, it is." She smirks, heading off into the woods to start with the kindling.

As she wanders through the woods, she occasionally feels a brooding presence as if someone is watching her. She doesn't immediately see anyone though.

There's a brief presence of the flock before she reins it in, shaking her head.

Too bloody paranoid after all these missions.

She sighs, bending over to pick up a few more branches.

Finding wood isn't terribly difficult, though she occasionally gets the impression that some of the wood was left for her to find. Why she has that impression, she can't quite explain though.

"I swear," she says as she returns with an armful. "I needed this break. I think I'm bloody cracking up."

"Well, we're both cracking up, right? That's why we're out in the middle of nowhere. Well, as middle of nowhere as England gets."

"I just have to remember that the bushes don't contain ninjas or cyborgs out here," she says, setting the kindling beside the ring Tereza's preparing.

"I should hope not. I'm not in the mood to kill ninjas." She starts piling up the fire, obviously knowing at least the rudiments of it.

"Just us out here. That's how it ought to be."

She smiles and heads out to get some heavier branches and logs.

She doesn't have to wander far before she finds some of what she's looking for. And then there's that feeling again. She must really be cracking up.

She whirls around for a moment, eyes narrowing at the middle distance before she shakes it off and loads up her arms with the wood.

Tereza has the fire properly started by the time Sam gets back with the wood. "Just in time," she says, giving Sam a broad smile.

Tereza carefully sets the bigger pieces aside, selecting one at a time to add to the fire. "I like the smell of burning wood," she says, twitching her nose, "Although right now I'm probably really smelling it for the first time."

"Just a bit," she smiles.

"This is adorable, by the by," she says as she presses a fingertip to the end of Tereza's nose.

"Something like that," she nods, picking up a stick to poke at the fire. "Abilities change your perception of things so much. Like... warmth is nice, but I really don't *need* it. Cold just isn't a thing I do. Other people, if they're not warm, they can't function."
