"My request is quite presumptuous already and I wouldn't want to stick my neck out too far on any one contract by pushing my luck."

"Do you always corner me in the middle of the bloody woods? Because I might be building a resentment over that."

"No. I've met you in several places. Met you on the remains of a battlefield once. You were a *lot* of fun then. Resentment is certainly not the goal though."

The figure gestures, "I have made my offer. If you need time to consider it, by all means do."

"Some things are just done that way. Sometimes the old ways are best." She draws her cloak tighter around herself and gives Sam a bow.

Shaking her head, Sam stoops to climb back into the tent, the feathers pulling back into her as she does.

"I'm... reasonably sure? I've never been a sleepwalker before."

"Admittedly I was... seesawing a bit between myself and... well, you know."

"Well, I assume no one would be asking Samantha McManus to make them immortal... unless you were jealous of the werewolf thing and became a vampire. You didn't, did you?" Tereza brain is obviously fuzzy, even if the rest of her isn't.

In the morning, Sam is up before Tereza. She's dressed again, but her hair is still long and wild, with black feathers woven into it.

She's poking at the embers of the fire, lost in thought.

As the light gets stronger, Tereza finally makes stirring noises. She starts out of the tent, but seeing Sam is dressed, she ducks back inside quickly. When she re-emerges, she's dressed as well. "Shouldn't take long to get the fire started again," she comments, going about doing just that.
