Chelmsford - Magic, Madness, Heaven, Sin

Getting into the club isn't terribly difficult for the ladies. The bouncer doesn't even hesitate as he motions them inside. Inside, the Raven's Crest is more nightclub than restaurant now. People are everywhere and the music is loud. "So I'm not sure where to go from here," Wanda says to her companions, "Do we just start asking 'have you seen me'?"

"I have a better idea." she says loudly to be heard over the music. Talking to people in this kind of setting was going to be frustrating anyway. Miriam casts out her mind across the room and looks for the mental spark of recognition regarding Wanda. And sooner or later people were bound to notice the tall woman. "Just make yourself be seen and I'll fish around for who remembers you."

"...about what I was going to suggest. Good idea."

"Okay," Wanda says, "Guess I'll start at that bar." She gestures towards one of the bars and begins to make her way over there. There's a lot of sparks of people noticing Wanda, but nothing that approaches recognition in the people nearest them.

Scanning the crowd visibly doesn't turn up much, although Sam catches sight of the owner speaking with a couple of young men. Miriam on the other hand, thinks she sees a familiar face. She's almost positive the older woman who accosted them in Uppsala sits at one of the other bars, her back to Wanda.

"What the..." Miriam mutters and makes her way over towards the old woman. Clearly she's just seeing wrong, but if she isn't then she's prepared to let this weirdo stalker have a piece of her mind.

"Recognize her, aye?" Sam says to Tereza, headcanting towards the owner.

"I remember seeing her the last time," Tereza says with a shrug. "Owner, right?"

It's most certainly the same woman. She spares Miriam a brief glance before returning to her drink.

"Probably sees most people that come in, wouldn't you think?"

"Maybe. Surely she's not here *all* the time," Tereza says. She's apparently somehow managed to procure a copy of the same dress that she wore on their first date here, so she's seesawing between uncomfortable and showing off.

Once she recognizes her Miriam storms towards her, making people get out of her way either by telepathically making them step aside or putting an hand on their shoulder and adding a little physical incentive to get out of the way when just the mental pressure isn't enough. "What do you think you're doing here?" she demands when she reaches the woman, putting both her hands down on the table.

"I'll keep an eye on the door, in case anyone starts suspiciously leaving," Tereza says, though something in her voice indicates some uneasiness.

"I'm having a drink. I should think that was obvious, young lady," the woman says, "What do you think you're doing here?"

In a bit of fortuitous timing, Erica seems to finish her conversation and shoos the two young men away. She's dressed as if she's a patron rather than the owner, fitting in quite well.

"Indeed," Erica says, turning to look at Sam, "But please, call me Erica." There's something about her that's bugging Sam, but maybe that's just because Sam's getting tired of people she can't read.

"Not in my establishment! No one would dare!" Sam gets the distinct impression that no one would dare to do something like that here, not without serious repercussions at any rate.

The woman looks a little put upon, which is strange considering the situation. "The threads of fate, my dear. I swear, what do they teach children these days?"

She looks over towards where Miriam is.

"...and my friend is harassing the elderly, apparently."

Erica turns to look, "Not a precisely wise course of action. Hopefully she isn't costing me a customer. I hate things that are bad for business." There's that sensation again, almost like deja vu, but not quite.

"Then do your job, guardian!" The woman stands, looking thoroughly pissed at this point. Then she moves to leave.

At the other bar, Wanda's taken the man's arm and the two of them are heading towards the door.

"Bloody hell! Hey!" Miriam shouts over the crowd as she makes her way over to Wanda and the man. "Hey you!" She narrows her focus on the guy's mind and tries to make him freeze. She's not great at direct motor control, but she just tries to push the mental command through.

"I'm sorry, this... looks like it's turning pear-shaped." She says to Erica, shaking off the odd feeling as she casts a look to Tereza at the door.

Tereza's moving to intercept, but there's people inexplicably getting in her way.

Erica frowns, "Please tell me your friend's not causing a scene."

The man freezes, but his mind isn't like the normal minds she's used to dealing with. She's finding it hard to keep the command in place. For her part, Wanda starts to look confused.
