"Oh dear! You got awfully lucky for sure. And your poor steed. If only it had held on a little while longer..." she says. If there's doubt or accusation in her mind it doesn't show in her voice at least. "Or you'd come around the south and stumbled upon our garden. See this is why we're out here." she nods affirmingly. "To spread the good word and so people know there's a safe and welcoming haven for all to turn to in their time of need."

A garden in the desert was certainly something unusual and could theoretically involve a Will. Of course, so could the Hunter's quarry but going after the thing that didn't involve an explicit threat of violence seemed the smarter place to start.

I'm going to regret this.

"And what good word is that?"

"Of the Bliss, of course! Harmony and the grace of God." she says, spotting the instrument on Thrax' back. "You're a musician? Perhaps you'd like to accompany us. In a song I mean. I can sing you some of our gospel." she says excitedly, waving at her companion to go get his guitar.

"Right here?" Thrax asked, briefly breaking character before reigning himself back in with a cough. "I reckon I can do that."

"Ain't no wrong place to." she smiles brightly as her companion starts strumming his guitar. It's a simple enough melody to follow along as Alleah and her companion both start to sing. It's kind of catchy, despite the perhaps obvious messaging. Then again, Thrax grew up in a religious order and there is a certain cheerful companionship to the whole thing.

"Come brothers and come sisters, come weary and come strong
Come meet the man who reaps the land, on which we walk upon
The time has come for judgement, but we ain't done nothin' wrong
Join us all, we all can sing along..."

The dark man in the dark hat, growled a little, taking another swig of his drink and looking away.

As a skilled musician, Thrax easily picked up the simple melody and his unusual sounding banjo gave it an ethereal quality. He even began to tap one boot—he hadn't realized he had footwear until then—for percussion. Despite himself, he began to sing along with the rather creepy lyrics as he missed the companionship of singing hymns, even if his faith's idea of music was entirely different. His voice was a bit higher as a coyote-man, but it was still quite pleasing in its unique timbre.

When it done, he smiled. "You sing a lot, then?"

The woman seems exceptionally pleased and abuzz at that.

"Oh yes, quite a bit. During communion, naturally, but while working the fields, riding the wagon, it just lifts your spirits, doesn't it?"

"I was raised in a very musical environment, so I know exactly what you mean. Music brings one closer to the sacred than anythin' else in my experience." His smile was designed to let her think he was receptive to whatever she was selling. This Bliss sounded off but maybe that was just because the name made it sound quite the opposite of the Storm he believed in. He had an open mind but he had no intention of converting to anything else.

"Well, if you'd like you can hitch a ride with us back to the Garden. We can spare you a bed for the night and plenty of food. A lot of it's produce though... I don't mean to presume about your eatin' habits..."

"Oh, there's no insult; I do, in fact, prefer meat. But I am far from a picky eater, so I reckon I'll accept yer kind offer," he said with a charismatic smile. "'Sides, I'm highly curious 'bout this Garden of yers. Don't much see the like in the desert."

"It's mighty special alright. Come then, we can sing some more songs on the wagon." she says, kind of urging Thrax towards a simple (uncovered) wagon partially loaded with some supplies they traded for in town.

He obliged, wondering not for the last time if he making a mistake. But that was future Thrax's problem. Besides, Alleah seemed harmless enough. How bad could it be?
