"Is there anything else you've conveniently left out?"

"I occasionally suffer under the delusion that I'm a Celtic war goddess, but if you wanted my life story you should've really asked me back up on the deck."

It's hard to tell if she's being sarcastic.

Siberia rounds on her, "If you're going to have delusions, you might as well go for the really satisfying ones, but I wasn't looking for your life story. Still you might have listed 'telepath' among your assets."

"It honestly just didn't come up. I mean, the rest of my mutation is rather obvious."

"You're on a ship absolutely loaded with other mutants. Did you really think I would have cared if you were a telepath?"

"If I was really looking to hide it, why would I volunteer it just now? Why would I tell you the fear I was sensing?"

Something seems to click in Siberia's head, "That comment about people's minds lighting up. Why didn't you tell me then when I asked?" She's obviously put out at this point.

"I honestly didn't know you were asking. I explained it the best I could, aye?"

Siberia mentally frowned at that urge, but her fingers sprouted ice claws and the glow on her forearms defused a bit as ice covered them. The step she takes forward is a bit halting though.

"...what are you doing?" She asks, taking a step back on guard.

Knowing she faces a telepath, Siberia begins drawing on something else and her skin shimmers in the soft light. The mental interference suddenly feels muted as her mind becomes slippery and she blinks. "I'm being toyed with. Were you in my head?"

"No! Why would I do that if you were already suspicious of me?"

"Why wouldn't you? If I am indeed suspicious as you claim, why wouldn't you just go ahead and do it?" Siberia still seems to be sorting through a few things.

"Except you've known telepaths, and I can tell you've got defenses."

"Yes, I have certainly known telepaths." Siberia's emphasis on the word is perhaps a bit different than Sam's. "I am still on good terms with some of them, the ones that didn't try to kill me at least."

"Alright, which is more likely, that I'm gaslighting half your crew and I think I'm better than your defenses, or that this is something else?"

Siberia seemed to be coming to a similar conclusion, "There's something else here." Her focus turns back to the hallways again. "Let's get moving."

Sam nods, following Siberia again.

As she moves, the flock spreads out ahead as she tries to find what might be doing this.
