Nothing happens. Although the reader is in exactly the right spot for that if there was something on or in her head to be read. It's certainly possible that the humanoids outside are outfitted with similar control-contraptions as the dinosaurs.

Tentacles of darkness unfurled from a shadowy corner between two buildings and an unlucky caveman found himself swiftly dragged into blackness. Hazard tossed him out into the jungle and grinned as he created a blade of shadow.

"Now let's get that out of you, shall we?" he said happily.

Soon...

Hazard returned to the tunnel and held up a metal device. "Tada!" he said. It was still dripping as he pranced to the door.

The scanner beeps and the door hisses open. From inside cool, air-conditioned atmosphere beckons along with the faint hum of machinery. The short passage hooks around and back into the large corridor on the other side of the big gate. It continues on for a bit and then splits up in two directions. The one going slightly down comes with a helpful label of 'Geothermal Plant', the one going straight ahead says 'Manufacturing'. In the middle of the splitting paths is what looks like an elevator shaft.

The corridor leads on for a little while until they reach another large gate. Once again the bloody implant lets them through a smaller side door and into a giant hall, filled with conveyor-belts, assembly lines, most of which appear to be operating all by themselves. From the ceiling rails zig-zag across the room, carrying robotic arms and assembly-units all over the place, sometimes picking up pieces to be moved elsewhere, sometimes assisting the machinery in fitting things together. Along the walls are stacks of raw materials as well as stations where things are being cut, melted or broken down by automatic plasma-torches, furnaces or lasers. The entire room is one big mess of activity, things often zipping past one another with only an inch to spare. Here gun casings are being pressed into molds, there giant armor plates are being moved around to be finished elsewhere. One assembly line appears to be entirely encased in clear plexiglass while intricate machinery etches processor-wafers into large discs. Here and there cavemen are standing, assisting the machinery, moving even more robotically than their counterparts outside. All in all the hall is enormous and to some extent modular. Still, there seem to be general sections. Munition, large-scale manufacturing, high-energy-physics (whatever that exactly is), circuitry and electronics, generators and power modules. Anything that one might need to outfit a high-tech army, all almost entirely automated.

"Look for something blunt." Emilie stated after him, almost assured he was going to find something to cause mayhem with. She herself was more curious to find out just how high tech some of the smaller, electrical based gadgetry might be. These people ,whomever they were, had found a way to mind control primitive men into advanced labor and she was curious as to what they might be up against in that department. She continued to be ginger about things as to not risk just barging into a more intelligent guard and botching their whole plan.

And that's when a number of assembly arms swing around, some of them wielding bright-blue torch-flames, others more straight-forward clamps. One swings down and knocks Emilie several feet and onto one of the conveyor belts. Another grabs hold of the grenade belt slung over Hazard's shoulder and pulls him up into the air while another swivels in with a welding flame at the end. Finally two arms unfold from the ceiling that are just straight up equipped with what apepars to be weaponry. They're quick to confirm that by unloading a series of energy blasts aimed at Vic.

Victor might not be a member of the teams, but he had learned a few things related to his particular skillset. One of which was that, when infiltrating a place, is was usually in your best interest to keep quiet. But that hadn't really worked out very well, since a voice from the ceiling had called them out, and now he was being targeted by the two robotic arms that were actually designed for the purpose of killing things. And unlike humans, computers were not as apt to miss. So Victor did the most logical thing, or at least the first thing that came to his mind; made himself a smaller target in the hopes of being harder to hit.

He ran toward the nearest cover with the intent of hiding under it until he could come up with an actual plan, but being small meant he had a lot more ground to cover. So he had to settle for his own odd version of serpentining; erratically and rapidly decreasing and returning to his normal size. At the very least, it might buy him some time and make it harder for the guns to target him, every time they shifted to target him small, they'd be aiming at his feet the next moment.

Hazard drops away to the backdrop of a belt full of grenades exploding and enveloping the robot arm in a giant fireball that scatters it's debris across the factory. His shots go all over, blowing up pieces of ceiling, construction arms and assorted bits of machinery. But for every arm he blows up or outruns, another seems to unfold from somewhere until one finally manages to hit him with a glowing energy projectile. Instead of burning a hole in his stomach though, this one just seems to stick to him and grow until it envelops him entirely, like a bubble. A bubble made of forcefield that's sticking to him and the ground.

The conveyor belt might be made to withstand some damage, but not repeated blows with a forcefield and it doesn't take long until the whole thing sputters to a halt. Which is probably good, considering the plasma-furnace illuminating her in a blue glow from behind. Instead a round, maybe basketball-sized drone flies in from god knows where, metal cables unfurling from it, one of which manages to coil itself around her wrist, delivering an electric shock.

Erratic movement seems to be effective, though still rather terrifying as energy bolts whizz past Vic, occasionally turning into beams that are wider than he is large as he shrinks down and alternates between running through a factory and a giant battlefield full of enormous impact-craters from missed shots. The arms are somewhat mobile on whatever machinery is supporting them in the ceiling but eventually he manages to take cover in the tiny gap between floor and machinery, which gives him an unique perspective into the inside of the assembly he fled into, which is full of glowing energy conduits and folded up robotics. It's like standing inside a space-ship. A spaceship that is being pounded by energy blasts as the weapons seem to try and blast their way through the assembly.

Emilie's shield takes a moment before instinct causes it to react to her getting shocked, but not quick enough not to receive a bit of a jolt herself. As she drops to her knees she grabs the robot by the metal cables wrapped around her wrist and whips it around violently towards the plasma furnace, hoping to keep it from becoming a further problem.

Whether she hits the mark or not she doesn't stop to find out, instead focusing on getting back to Hazard and (hopefully) Victor.

Victor took the opportunity to catch his breath, the energy bolts pounding on the metal reminding him not to wait too long to get moving again. Still, there was a lot of stuff here that looked important and fragile. Well if those laser guns were going to try to dig him out, he might as well dig himself in deeper. He went for the nearest, most-complicated-looking energy conduit and swung a punch that was the equivalent to a bullet strike at his size. Breaking stuff, compact edition.

The energy bubble cares little for Hazard's shenanigans, refusing to budge.

Emilie whips the little robot around and into the furnace where it begins to melt immediately before exploding with a rather unspectacular *pop*. A couple moments later a dozen or so more of the little drones come zipping through the air, some wielding the same electrified arms, others leaving behind a trail of moisture-turned-snow which would be almost adorable if it wasn't for the implication of how much cold the little things are dispensing. They position themselves around Emilie but don't turn their freezing-jets on her quite yet.

At the same time Vic's bullet-punches sever energy conduits that fizzle out in showers of sparks as he makes his way through the machinery. It's hard to tell what's what but after a while and leaving behind a tiny trail of destruction the hammering of the ceiling-lasers seems to stop. Unfortunately the voice ringing out seems to have not so great news. "The little one will surrender. His friends have been surrounded and will be taken into custody along with him." It sounds like the computer doesn't know where Vic is exactly or how to flush him out.

Emilie held strong until she was sure her new friends weren't going anywhere, then brought up her shields quickly, attempting to violently smash it against the little robots hanging around her. She kept the bubble up whether it worked or not as to keep from anymore technological shenannagins.

Emilie's plan works in that she manages to ram the forcefield into two of the robots, knocking them out of the air. The remaining ones immediately open fire. The frost blasts are caught by the forcefield, but that just means that they quickly encase her in a hollow bubble of ice.

"You will tell us who you are and what your intentions are." the computer voice informs them as more little drone robots swarm in. Some of them with some kind of magnetized underside that lifts up Hazard without making direct contact, the others just physically lifting the sphere of ice Emilie is in while the Frost-Bots continue swarming around, maintaining the frozen bubble.

He might catch a glance of Emilie and Hazard being carried off at the far end of the factory floor. Maybe if he sprinted he could catch up to them but then he would most certainly run into the veritable cloud of drone surrounding the two captives. Right now he's avoiding notice, but heading out onto the factory floor at full size might bring attention to him again. There's probably sensors everywhere. Sensors he seems to have avoided by shrinking down. That would also open up the possibility of moving about through other channels like airducts and the machinery that seems to extent into the walls.

It's times like this that I wish I'd taken track and field instead of gymnastics.

The direct approach was the one Victor decided upon. Because the other options would remain open to him for awhile but following his companions and their guards would not be an option for much longer. So dwindling down to as big of a size as he was willing to take the risk he bolted toward the hallway. Even if he couldn't catch up he might overhear something, anything; the number of a floor or a place in the facility where they were being taken.

It's hard to catch up on floating drones on shorter-than-usual legs and by the time he make sit to the door they disappeared through they're gone. But there are signs around, it can't be too hard to find the detention area, right? As he's pondering the computer voice rings out through the corridor again. It seems to be being broadcast to more than just the corridor, judging from faint echoes. It doesn't seem the computer knows where he is either.

"The remaining intruder will surrender himself and be escorted down to the detention cells or his friends will suffer for it."

Well, that's not very nice, but it does give him a direction. There was an elevator a bit back, though the cabin is probably equipped with cameras.

No need for an escort, I'll see myself in, and out.

Victor made tracks toward the elevator as fast as he let himself go, a difficult balancing act of keeping big enough to cover ground but small enough to avoid notice, the line between the two a rather fine one. He could have taken the vents, but the risk of getting lost was too great, the direct approach was for the best. Though direct did not have to mean conventional.

Even in hotels elevators had cameras, it was already built like a little cell, so Victor wasn't too keen on taking the lift down. But there was an alternative to calling for the elevator. Victor looked down the open shaft for a moment before jumping into it. He didn't know what floor the detention level was on, so he'd simply have to start at the bottom and work his way up.
