Postby Narrator » Thu Jan 10, 2019 3:06 pm

After a prolonged dispute over directing such a large shipment through a relatively minor port, the Maldon Harbour Improvement Commission has approved the unloading of the CS Wadjet, a shipping vessel carrying a portion of the extensive art collection of Dame Rashida Muqaddam, known for her charitable work in and around Essex. From Maldon, the collection is slated to be loaded to rail and shipped to Chelmsford, in anticipation of the opening of the Faroukh Muqaddam Memorial Gallery, named for Dame Rashida's grandfather. With this shipment now en route, the gallery is slated to open January 18th.

Two foreign laborers were apprehended after a late night scuffle at the Maldon Pier. Both men were released on bail provided by their employer, the Faroukh Muqaddam Memorial Gallery. Initially bail was refused on the grounds of prior criminal records, but barristers for the gallery were able to plead the court and negotiate release for a higher bail amount.

Maldon Standard, February 11th

Postby Narrator » Mon Apr 15, 2019 5:17 pm

The Essex Police have launched an investigation today, after a break-in at the CS Wadjet the night before. The investigation, in collaboration with the Maldon Harbour Improvement Commission, concerns medical supplies which were stolen from the container ship, which was slated to unload them in anticipation of shipping them to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford.

The supplies are part of an initiative by Dame Rashida Muqqadam to run an addiction clinic out of Broomfield Hospital focusing on the neglected demographic of mutants with substance abuse problems, with shuttle service running daily to Lambeth.

Though security footage is unclear as to the identities of the burglars, it is reasonably certain that they are mutants themselves, and capable of flight.

When reached for comment, Dame Rashida stated "I really want to emphasize how closely we're working with the police in this investigation. Ultimately these supplies can be replaced, but I understand the desperation that can lead to these acts. As such, I am willing to drop all charges if the perpetrators turn themselves in and get the help they likely need."
