Hello Jez,

Didn't seem an appropriate time to ask you this at the police station, but are you looking for a date for the Halloween party? I know a nice young man I think you'd have a lot in common with who is still looking for someone to take.

It's not me so if the answer is no, don't feel bad that you're going to hurt my feelings.

- Basil

Hi Basil

Yeah that would have been an awkward moment lol. I wasn't really looking for anyone but it might be fun. Who is it?

Gentleman's name is Trevor Anderson. He's one of the yank kids. Tees and jeans sort of a fellow (wears a few of what appear to be sports shirts, but mostly favours wearing shirts related to pop culture) and he tends to check out science fiction for pleasure, when he takes books for non-school purposes. If looks are of importance, he is about the same height as me, but larger (though most are). Good sort of a chap though. Brown hair, blue eyes.

So a tall, handsome American who reads. You should be running a matchmaking service, you've got the inside track.

Sure, I'm game. Just tell him that I'd like to keep it kind of low-key I don't want him worrying about matching costumes and dinner and stuff, I just wanna go to the dance and have a good time.

Excellent! I'll pass your email to him if that's alright, so you two can arrange something that works for the both of you. I'll explain your caveats upfront.
