"Aren't like. The lunch ladies flipping their shit right now?"

"That's the thing. No one's here," he said as he turned around.

"I wouldn't be either if I had to clean this up." Nailah jokes.

Chase wrote:Chase turned the switch off as soon as the spell of confusion broke.

"This is way too weird to be a prank," he said, still facing the kitchen.

Turning the switch off had NO effect--the lights didn't even go out. If anything, the pandemonium seemed to be more pandemonious.

Haley looked at Chase, and then Nailah and then back to the mess. "...really? No one is around? Isn't that....kinda weird?"

"Kinda is, isn't it?"

"Okay... now the switch is broken."

He tried unplugging the nearest thing.

Yeah, unplugged the toaster would get it top stop spewing out toast, though the floor was slick with spread oils and things like that. An elite assassin cold make his way over.

He hopped from one clean spot to another with graceful ease and yanked the toaster cord. He also caught a piece of flying toast.

"This is almost like a poltergeist." she says, looking into the kitchen from a safe distance.

"Ghosts aren't real, Nailah," Haley said like someone who was more trying to convince herself of this fact than anyone else.

"Nu-uh, they are totally real! Just ask Sofia. Her girlfriend's a ghost." she says with the smug expression of someone who think they just won an argument.

"...I know..." she said and looking around with a concerned look in her eyes. "Maybe we should go try and find some of the staff?"

"Or Sofia. Maybe it was Regan. See? Tolda ya it was a prank!" she gloats in Chase's general direction.

"Maybe...I...I dunno. This is kinda just freaking me out."

"Hey, you're not the one who got pied in the face."

"No. But I'm pretty sure this pudding is up inside my shorts."

"Well the kitchen is still going crazy. If someone is doing this then they're probably still in there."

He hopped back to them. He even kicked off of the counter for a shortcut.

He munched on the possibly possessed toast. "If it is a ghost, they make good toast."

"Well let's find the fucker and beat the shit out of him. I spent twenty minutes on my hair this morning and it's got tapioca all over it, and so do my shorts AND my cutest pair of underwear," Haley grumbled, narrowing her eyes and looking around. There weren't that many people around so she had a slight chance of maybe counting the number of distinct mental "voices" she hears from people thinking.

Giggling. High-pitched, squeaky giggling. Make it four? Maybe five total voices in the general vicinity.

"...there's five people thinking and giggling near here, and I don't think it's either of you..." Haley said, her face still twisted up in concentration, trying to see if she could tell where the little fuckers were.

Hard to pinpoint with all the noise and pandemoneum but...maybe the kitchen? Or just BEHIND the kitchen, now?

"Fucking worthless telepathy," she grumbled, walking into the kitchen and trying to stop as many things moving as she can with the power she actually liked.

Adding chaos to chaos would work! Assuming the goal was primarily breaking everything, but still!

"Please tell me you did that."

"....yes..." she grumbled. "I was trying to just stop it all...which...I sort of did."

"Better you than who or whatever is in here with us."

"Which way? Can you still hear them?" Nailah asks, looking around the kitchen to see if she can spot anybody.

Haley again reached out with her telepathy, closing her eyes and putting a hand to her temple.

They were now DEFINITLEY behind the back of the kitchen, and moving further away.

"They're behind the back of the kitchen....and moving away. Let's get these fuckers," Haley said trying to figure out the best way to follow the things.

"Heck yeah!" Nailah chimes in, following Haley.

"Keep telepathic contact with me to tell me where I'm going," Chase said, before smirking, "And try to keep up."

He vaulted over the center island and was quickly out the back door.

There was a channel of dirt, like from a large mole or something.

It was headed away!

Chase remembered there was something about Albuquerque related to this situation.

He wan awong it.

Nailah, not one to be out-done, runs after Chase, traversing over the kitchen island by sliding across it before following him outside.

Haley was too busy trying to figure out how the hell to keep in touch with someone who might be out of sight to do any fancy acrobatics, but she did jog after the two, a look of intense concentration on her face.

"Can you guys hear me...and each other?"

The effect almost seemed like they were listening on a terrible walkie talkie with a lot of static and interference but they likely would be able to carry on a three way mental conversation....albeit one that would probably broadcast everything their conscious mind was processing.

Haley wasn't good at this.

The path continued going, heading straight for one of the big oaks on campus.
