A Basketfull of Goodies

Up until recently maintained as a museum, the childhood home of the Braddock family has been pressed into service as classroom space for the University. Additionally, the increased demands have led to the main ballroom being converted into a cafeteria for University students on a meal plan. The old library has been bolstered with college textbooks.

A Basketfull of Goodies

Postby Will Stanton » Mon Dec 25, 2017 9:04 am

Some had opened their gifts well before Christmas time. Others had waited until Santa came like they were supposed to. Either way, the complete list of gifts Will sent out could now be divulged. Not everyone was included -- Will didn't know EVERYONE, after all -- but he was more generous than your average bear.

Sam: A complete set of cymbals -- crash, ride, hi-hat, splash, and China -- bearing the name "Stanton" as the manufactuers mark. Also, a jade statue showing a warrior woman, her hair flying behind her in the wind, atop her noble wolf mount.

Tereza: An emerald green flying-V electric guitar with a double humbucker pickup, again emblazoned with the "Stanton" logo. Also, a pink studded collar with leash, squeaky toy of Gumby, and bag of meat-flavored doggy treats.

Nailah: Some kick-ass shades and a bomber jacket with the X-logo as a chest patch, with cut-outs for wings.

Tosh: A collection of fantasy and sci-fi novels, including a couple by an author Tosh had never heard of and a Google search couldn't detect.

ASHLIE: A set of Rock-'em, Sock-'em robots and a Betamax tape of "Lost in Space".

Basil: A natty selection of pocket squares. Also, for some reason, a box of lime jell-o.

Haley: A nice pair of attention-grabbing jean shorts, and a couple CDs of the Latest Popular Country Singer. Both were likely to drive Tosh crazy, for different reasons.

Shari: A box of obviously hand-burned CDs, filled with music from a wide variety of genres and places. The top CD was labeled "Voyager Golden Record -- for use by space aliens"

Shane: Some small potted plants, albeit a little strange looking. Also, a strangely familiar hankerchief.

Natalie: An Apple II personal computer from the past, and a Stark-Fujikawa Social Engine computer which...hasn't seemed to have been publically announced, at the very least.

Collette: A rather sizable box of luxurious, designer chocolates.

Trev:: A collection of D&D minis for some of the more obscure characters and monsters -- harder ones to find than usually were on the shops.

Gemmalara: A gift card to a local Pizza place in Maldon, with the note reminding her that Will "owed her" for helping him out when he was in need. Also, a copy of "Zen and the Difficult Workplace", from one humble servant to another

Sean: Several books about the history of magic and folklore in the British Isles, with a focus on Irish mythology.

Steph: A couple gift certificates to all-you-can-eat buffets, and a collection of '30s horror films.

((Hopefully, I didn't forget anyone Will knows well!))

Gemma - A Dungeons and Dragons Player's Handbook.

Viv - A nice jar of bath salts.

Haley had gotten her present, but everyone else who had ever had even a semi-positive interaction with Basil also got something, all left under Will's care. Save of course for Colette's.

For Sam: A very unsappy card the envelope of which seems fit to burst.

The note inscribed inside reads "For the girl who needs nothing but experience. Learning is the greatest adventure, and you'll get to subject your girlfriend to your experiments."

However, even if she were exceptionally careful about opening it, 20 gift cards for Hello Fresh would come spilling out of the overstuffed envelope.

For Chase: Two large totes, one filled with books, and one with snacks. In the book one is a letter that reads: My favourites when i was younger. Happy reading.

The other has a note that reads: Some of the best reading snacks available.

Inside the book tote:
The Indian in the Cupboard Series, The Never Ending Story, The Last Unicorn, Coraline, The Enchanted Forest Chronicles, The Chronices of Narnia, Seemingly every book ever written by Roald Dahl, The complete collection of Winnie the Pooh, Watership Down, The Little Prince, The Wind in the Willows, The complete Mary Poppins, The Complete Borrowers Stories, The Once and Future King and The Earthsea Cycle.

Inside the food tote:
Sugarbabies, Malteasers, Walker Chips (Prawn Cocktail,Worchester Sauce, pickled onion), Walkers short bread cookies, Jammie Dodgers, Jaffa Cakes,Yorkie in "Original" and "Raisin and Biscuit", BBQ Beef Hula Hoops, Cheese and Onion Hula Hoops, Mega Monster Munch Flamin' Hot Crisps, Mega Monster Munch Roast Beef, Nestle Aero Mint , Roundtree Wine Gums, Cadbury Flake bar Pot Noodle (in Curry, Chicken and mushroom, Bombay bad boy, Chow Mein, and Sweet and Sour varieties), Branston Pickle, Cole's Classic Christmas Pudding, Quavers cheese curls, Nestle Coco Shreddies, Soft Eating Licorice, Cadbury drinking chocolate, Ribena Blackcurrant boxes, Fentimans Rose Lemonade, and Ben Shaw's Dandelion and Burdock

For Jezabelle:A medium sized box with several things inside. a semi-casual top with a Super Nintendo controller on it, an Animal Crossing Necklace,A life and mana bracelet, Ravenclaw PJs, a very familiar stationary set and a Nintendo Eshop gift card for £25.

For Trev: A copy of Bloodbowl and A copy of Talisman, with the note "What Nerds are supposed to do this side of the pond."

For Shane: An industrial strength grow lamp and replacement bulbs, with the note "Just keep it off while I'm sleeping."

For Shari: An unsigned card with £200 in cash inside.

For Diego: An unsigned card with a £100 gift certificate for the Rose and Crown inside, and With £100 in cash with the word "kebabs" written on it.

For Will: There was nothing under the tree for him thanks to the timing of everything, but after Basil's return he'd find a small package at his room with a small green felted bird inside.

From Tosh:

Haley: A psi-dampener for when she wants the voices to stop, in the form of an amulet depicting a lassoed star.

Steph: A set of clothes for her werewolf form, tailored by Chisaki from Danger Room records.

Trev: A dice tower able to read and display results.

Will: A high tech tub with "massage" features and "The Bank Job" on Blu-ray.

Nailah: A utility belt with a fingerprint kit and a pair of binoculars.

Natalie: A highly programmable toy robot. No, it isn't a shark.

Emilie: An LED hoop and a "#1 Mom" mug.

Chisaki left presents for just three people in school.

For Diego, the jinbei she had promised. Red on top, grey on bottom, just like Mugen's. She even made him a white undershirt to go with it.

Shari's gift was a roll of .50 pence coins and a flash drive with Boogie Factory files on it. This would allow her to play songs not already on the machine.

The last she sent with Basil. It contained the underbust containment stretch suit she made for Colette, and a small vial of her viscous body with a label that said 'Sorry'.

Emilie had been selling her handmade goods all fall via craft shows and Christmas markets, and was working down to the wire before she and Victor left for Canada on her own friends goods.

She managed to get everything done in the nick of time, but she was secretly working on Vic's still on the plane ride home while he took a nap. An overwhelming number of her presents were made by her, by hand.

Jezabelle: Several Pixel art style bracelets, one with a 1 Up mushroom, One with Kirby,, and one with A Triforce, A pastel star scarf, A Mimikyu and A Dice Bag.

Tosh: A Soap shaped like a D20, with a D6 stuck inside it as if it were a gelatinous cube, A super long , dark red scarf that on Tosh might look a bit silly, but on Bruce it would be perfect size, and a giant bag of beef jerky

Haley: A winter hat that let her Pony tail poke out, A set of very patriotic earrings that were obviously up-cycled from the cans of a popular cola company, and hand made sugar scrubs and bath bombs that smelled like fruits.

Trev: D20 cufflinks, A new Dice Bag and a knitted cowl in light grey

Steph: A crocheted poncho with buttons up the side for 'easy removal', a box of vegetarian friendly KIND bars, and a bag of jerky just like Tosh's, because Best Mom knows best.

Vic:
Victor didn't get his presents till they got 'home' to Canada. When he did, he'd recieve A bomber jacket and matching brown leather gloves that allowed for touchscreen usage which matched his riding helmet perfectly, a much shorter dark red scarf clearly crocheted of the same yarn as Tosh's, and several tiny pugs just for funsies.
