Well, it RHYMES with Thinking...

Up until recently maintained as a museum, the childhood home of the Braddock family has been pressed into service as classroom space for the University. Additionally, the increased demands have led to the main ballroom being converted into a cafeteria for University students on a meal plan. The old library has been bolstered with college textbooks.

A couple hours later, Will is disturbed from his sulking by a knock on the door. A salty, savory smell wafts up from under it.

It smells somewhat of salted pork and... perhaps eggs?

Two roundish foil-wrapped objects, perhaps sandwiches, an order of thick, greasy chips (which is to say fries to heathens across the pond) and a small sealed tub of what looks to be some sort of gloppy liquid poorly impersonating cheese.

Will frowned, again. Not exactly a trusted source for food, after their earlier encounter.

Then again, he couldn't just leave it here, cluttering up the hallway...

He picked the bag up, rolling it closed, compressing it as small as he easily could. Opening wide, he shoved the whole kit and kaboodle -- sandwiches, chips, cheese, tub, bag and note -- in his mouth, jaw distending and neck tendons stretching to inhuman proportions as he disposed of the contents.

After a while, the sound of footsteps stops outside the closet and there's the sound of someone sniffing the air. After what somehow sounds like a moment of confusion, Tereza opens the closet door, looking into its interior in distinct confusion. "Why do I smell fries?"

Tereza's eyes narrow. The smell is still there. She begins rummaging through the various mops and things, trying to find the source of the smell if only to satisfy her curiosity about why the janitorial closet, of all places, smells like fries.

Tereza reaches out and picks up the fries, perusing them and giving them a closer sniff. There's several scents there and they're getting masked by the cleaners in the closet so she shuts the door and moves further away to give them a better overall look. "Who leaves a bag of fries in the closet? That's just a recipe for stink."

Free from the competing chemical scents, Tereza could get a good look at the bag o' fries. They smelled....well, they smelled mostly like fries, to be honest. A bit too greasy and a bit too salty for some peoples' tastes, but fries not withstanding. There was a faint whiff of...something just below the surface. Most people wouldn't pick up on it, and Tereza's human nose wasn't the ideal tool to investigate it. Even as a human, however, Tereza's experience with heightened senses ticked her brain here; something vaguely familiar.

She ponders that for a bit and then licks her lips, "The list of things or people this could be is a short one." She ducks into an empty classroom, setting the fries down on a desk. "If I have to shift to figure out who you are, I'm going to be put out. I've done enough shifting recently."

Tereza was intimidating, but Will was a stubborn ass. In a gamble between his shifting and Tereza's nose, he'd bet on himself.

Besides, Tereza might decide she's been a doof, and someone would catch her yelling at a bag of fries. That was worth betting on.

As Tereza shifted, the scents became...more 3D, if that makes sense. The wolf's senses were on an entirely different level, able to pick up subtleties and information that no normal person could ever have detected.

Too much information, however, can sometimes be as bad as not enough information.

The fries smelled very good -- everything deep fried was good, and there was the faint after-effect smell of cheese and meat mixed in, presumably from the bag they had been delivered in. But that wasn't all. There were a number of smells mixed in there, too -- one lupine, and very familiar. One clay, and slightly less familiar. And then one...reptilian and wrong.

And then quite a bit of alcohol on top of everything else.

There were three things Tereza could decide here -- either the fries were fries, they were WIll, or they were a Skrull. That was also the preferential order Will had for what Tereza would decide -- again, dealing with Tereza was low on his list of priorities.

However, with the Wolf apparently discarding the fry theory, that only left the other two options. Given Tereza's history with Skrulls, that seemed less than ideal. And so, forced into a corner, Will shifted back into something close to his normal form -- though he remained roughly the same size as the bag of fries, and his colors were a bit more muted than normal (though whether Tereza's WolfVision could catch that last bit, he had no clue.)

She snorts and then her body wrenches itself back into a more human shape, which doesn't look at all pleasant, but sometimes you just need a human mouth. "Perhaps, but as a bag of fries?" She's not wearing much at all, having shed most of her outfit for the change, but that doesn't seem to bother her.
