"Garbage in, garbage out," Will shrugged. "Put nasty and cheap things in there, and he'll likely become nasty and cheap. Put high-end expensive stuff in there, and it works better.

But we'll see for ourselves soon enough," he added, as the machine began to spin down.

"That stuff wasn't nasty or cheap, it was cultured and artsy. I think?"

"It was also used and crusty, but maybe it will be fine? I mean, I've literally never done this."

Shari shrugs. "If he comes out too nasty we'll just rinse it out." she says, leaning over the tub, waiting for it to finish.

The clay stopped churning, and there was silence for a moment.


And then, a rainbow-colored, shiny glittery hand grabbed on to the rim of the tub as it tried to draw itself out.

"So dramatic." Shari chuckles as she takes a step back to give Will room to climb out of the tub.

Will pulled himself out of the tub and stood there, blinking.

He wasn't green, that was for sure. From head to toe, he was covered in a tie-dye pattern, colors swirling and blending. In fact, they were still swirling and blending -- rather than setting, like you would expect, the colors continued to shift around over his body, mixing and separating in a slow, hypnotic pattern.

He caught the light brilliantly, the glitter having evenly spread out over his form -- making him a bit hard to look at at times, to be honest, as different parts would sparkle and reflect.

The oddest bit, perhaps, were the eyes -- solid yellow, with no pupil to speak of.

"Sparkly!" Apparently the eyes don't really unnerve Shari. "At least the looks are stunning, but do you have a personality to match?" Shari grins at Sparkle-Will.

"Woah..." Will said, looking around him and swivelling his head around. "That is...I mean, woah."

He lifted his hand in front of his face and stared at it, his head tilting to one side.

"I don't think there were any drugs in there. You alright, buddy?"

"No drugs in there, but if we don't use this to make pot brownies at some point, we are definitely committing some kind of malpractice."

"Alright? I...I think I'm alright.

But the world, man. What did you do to the world? Is it I who am alright, and the world is spinning? Or am I spinning and the world is alright?

Woah."

"Pretty sure the world is just as it ever was, so pretty sure that's you. Guess you are a little... swirly."

"Far out," Will grinned, poking himself and watching as the colors rippled out from it. "It's beautiful."

"Hey, that worked pretty well then!" Shari claps. "Uhm... Groovy!"

"Groovy, yeah! Wicked.

...You make a really good otter, Shari," Will said, climbing out of the tub and walking towards her.

"I like this one. We should keep him." Shari chuckles.

"No, like, I ~mean~ it. You've really...tapped in the otter-ness of the world. You've literally ~become~ the otter, releasing yourself from the pressures and expectations of life. It's inspiring."

And with that, Will started petting Shari.

"I have no idea what you're talking about, but I am pretty great." Shari points out, leaning her head into Will's hand.

"You don't know? Well it's like...you know, there's this feeling in the Earth and the Sky and in the Wind, and we're all part of it."

"We are? Even me? Cause I don't really belong on the Earth."

"Nonononononono. LOOK at you. You're part of everything. Can't you FEEL it inside you?"

"Great, a fucking hippie. I'm not sure this is actually better in any notable way, but at least he seems to have discarded Morrigan-worship for Earth-worship."

"Hey, that's something, right? Science and all that. Besides, I like this one. He's cool and groovy." Shari says, waving her little otter arms like an inflatable-tube-car-dealership-thingie.

"He's lame and like a reject from the '60s. I bet if you turned him into a car now, he'd be a shitty microbus that smelled terribly of weed and patchouli. Dude's hopeless."

"Like, you need to tune in and chill out, my man."

"Right on, my man. You need to, like, relaaax." Shari tells SassyWill, doing her best HippieWill impression.

Will frowned, not enjoying being teased.

"This is fine to you? This is what you want?"

"Sure, why not. It's better than before."

"IS it though, really? And even if it is, it's still not great, yeah? I mean, this isn't going to get annoying to you in about negative five seconds?"

"I mean... if that's the only thing he goes on about maybe."

"Please. He's got a one track mind. Maybe a zero-track.

Frankly, maybe it's my fault -- I've got no idea how to build up an entire personality. Not my thing, as it were."

"Dude. You need to, like, just mellow. Sit and look at the universe for a bit, you know?"

"Fiiine, we'll scrub him clean and figure out something better."

Will shoved Will in the chest, sending him toppling over into the tub again.

"Damn hippies."

"Maybe we need to sprinkle in something extra so that's not the only thing on his mind."

"That sounds even harder," Will complained. "Fuckin' telepaths make this look so easy."

"Well he's all hippie-skippie, so we gotta... balance it out some. You got some capitalist money we could dump in there?"

"I mean, yes, but I'm not going to waste that on this. Besides, we've been money before, you'd think that would have a long-lasting effect."

"Man, this is hard. Fine, let's clean him up for now and I'll do some research and gather some stuff. I feel like I never have anything on hand for this."
