Katarina, somehow, missed all the implications of what Collette and Basil believed was going on, and kept digging her hole.

"There's a line, somewhere, between 'tried but it isn't perfect' and 'haven't used a frying pan in my life'. The former is acceptable, the latter...no."

"Oh, so she can cook?"

"I...don't know? I mean, I assume so; she seems very handy, to me."

Colette shrugged. "I do not see ze logic in all of zis, but I will cook for you regardless."

"Thank you, very much. I will be happy to repay you."

"So how shall we manage this subterfuge?"

Katarina thought for a while.

"Oh! Basil, you're invisible!" she said, suddenly.

"Yes." He replied with the tone of 'go on'.

"That means you can be places without people knowing you are places. That makes the sneaking much easier, no? Can you make other things invisible?"

" Only small objects I can obscure with my person."

To demonstrate, he pulled a penny from his pocket which from Katarina's perspective proceeded to dance about before disappearing.

To Colette, the penny was flipped from one hand to another, and then clasped between his hands.

"Not sure it would work for food."

"That's too bad. That would have been particularly useful," Katarina frowned. "Having an invisible helper sounds like something out of a fairy tale."

Colette wrinkled her brow, she didn't understand how Basil waving a coin around proved his point, he didn't make it invisible.

"Orrrrr... we could simply already have it on ze table before she arrives?"

"Yes, that would probably make the most sense," Katarina nodded. "No sense overcomplicating things, I suppose."

"Formidabe! Zen we have an agreement. Well zen... if you are still in ze mood, we can start wiz some basics, no?"

"I shall give it my best shot!" Katarina smiled.
