Katarina, somehow, missed all the implications of what Collette and Basil believed was going on, and kept digging her hole.

"There's a line, somewhere, between 'tried but it isn't perfect' and 'haven't used a frying pan in my life'. The former is acceptable, the latter...no."

To demonstrate, he pulled a penny from his pocket which from Katarina's perspective proceeded to dance about before disappearing.

To Colette, the penny was flipped from one hand to another, and then clasped between his hands.

"Not sure it would work for food."

Colette wrinkled her brow, she didn't understand how Basil waving a coin around proved his point, he didn't make it invisible.
