Like Thunder Screaming Out For A Flash Of Lightning

"Have a song in mind?"

[Tereza Rozanov]

Tereza considers Vivienne for a moment, obviously mentally trying to find something she'll recognize. After a bit, she sets the electric guitar aside and grabs the one acoustic that lives in music room. She frowns in concentration as she tunes it, but then looks up. "You remember this one? I played it in the XUB a while back." She starts picking out the opening to a song.

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"I do remember." Viv softly counts the beat and begins.

[Narrator]

Viv's nostrils flare as she steps into the room proper, drawing in a heady bouquet of scents. Two of them are especially comforting. It feels safe here.

Viv's voice catches and cracks on certain notes as she sings. It feels good to sing, however. Eventually her voice finds a more natural level. Deeper, throatier, but still recognizable as her.

Sam quirks a brow at the catches in Viv's voice, but her concern eases as the girl finds a more comfortable register. She joins in on the drums soon enough.

[Tereza Rozanov]

Tereza doesn't seem to notice the catch, lost in playing the music. Although shortly she harmonizes with Vivienne, apparently unable to keep herself from singing with Viv.

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"All you have to do, is let me in your room." Viv finishes and exhales deeply, opening her eyes, not realizing she had been singing with them closed.

[Samantha McManus]

"Think we've got a winner there, after you got the cobwebs out," Sam smiles.

[Tereza Rozanov]

Tereza nods, "I agree. I think we've really got the stuff to do a small mix of styles."

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"Singing in my family has been a complicated thing. Thought giving it a shot now that I'm mostly human couldn't hurt."

[Samantha McManus]

"Oh, so nobody goes and drowns themselves?" She teases.

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"Haunting voices on misty nights and all that." She smiled.

[Samantha McManus]

"That harmony was nice there. Did you two plan that? Am I being punked?" She smirks.

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"No, aside from us both knowing the words."

[Tereza Rozanov]

Tereza shakes her head, "Yeah, just seemed like the thing to do."

[Samantha McManus]

"If you two harmonize that easily, we've got a bit of a hook when we perform," she smiles.

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Hopefully we can harmonize in other ways to help Will out," Tereza says, that obviously still weighing on her mind.

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"Is something wrong with Will?"

[Samantha McManus]

"He's fighting for his name, apparently."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"And I told him we'd help him."

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"Odd...I believe I am missing something."

[Samantha McManus]

"Well there's two of him, aye? And they both want to be Will."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"And since they can't agree on who should have the name, the Headmistress decided they should compete for it."

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"'Will' is a common name, can they not both be 'Will'? Do they plan on attempting to secure the name from others who share it as well? I believe Britain's current monarch would have a few things to say about that."

[Samantha McManus]

"Well they want the whole enchilada, aye? First, last, presumably even middle name."

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"Oh, he has more then one name? I suppose that would be irritating to have to share all of one's monikers with another...perhaps that is why the ancients are so fond of their titles."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"We're not certain what the contest involves, but I told him the three of us would help him."

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"I go were you go." She gave a slight shrug, not fully understanding, but trusting Tereza.
