In The Middle Of Our Street

Up until recently maintained as a museum, the childhood home of the Braddock family has been pressed into service as classroom space for the University. Additionally, the increased demands have led to the main ballroom being converted into a cafeteria for University students on a meal plan. The old library has been bolstered with college textbooks.

What Sam's been talking about and mentioning finally breaks through to Miranda, "What are you talking about, Sam?" Even as she asks, her telepathy hones in one Will, looking for that off feeling she picked up on before.

MIranda's telepathy...bounced off.

The signal she got was...whatever the astral equivalent of asking for a username and password would be.

Don't worry, though; your Dad's got all the good bits over here," he smiled, sheepishly.

"Um, I mean, we could try, but...

One, I don't think he thinks of himself as...your champion. You've made it, um, clear that you don't want to be...confused with your counterpart. That you are your own woman. I respect that! I don't know if, uh, he does, but you know. You're...Sam, and wonderful for reasons of your own.

And, uh, two...if Miranda is here. And ROBIN is here..." he trailed off.

"We don't actually know how many dimensions are overlapping right now. The odds of another, less genial Morrigan noticing you drawing on 'her' dominion are high. Why don't we head for some central location and if he's not there, then I can try to help you with a more directed calling?" Sam gets the distinct mental impression that she finds that idea distasteful, despite her willingness to implement it.
