Come out, come out...

A pitch black shadow swims through the corridors of the mansion like it was an eel in water, head dotted with way too many eyes in a chaotic arrangement, blinking out of synch as it peers to and fro, searching for something.

It had been several days, and Will still had not gone to sleep. His glowing eyes had dimmed somewhat, and he wasn't quite as sparkly and flashy, but he hadn't drained off all the energy Acala had given him.

At the moment, unprepared, he was just walking between his ninth and tenth class of the day...

The creature glides around a corner and spots Will, immediately stopping it's bobbing and winding through the air and instead heading straight towards Will at a decent clip.

Will eeped, dropped his bookbag, and quickly backpedaled back into the classroom from whence he originally came.

By the time the creature would get to the room, there wouldn't be a Will in sight.

The darkness-snake slithers into the room along the top of the door and then stops, perched partway into the room with it's front half clinging to the wall as it's many eyes slowly scan the room.

A normal classroom, now that everyone had filed out. Whiteboard, check. Desks and tables, check. Stacks of books, check. Discarded papers on the floor...

...Discarded papers on the floor, hrm.

THe creature detaches from the wall with a movement that seems like it should make some kind of squelching noise but is utterly silent. And once it is in range of the discarded papers legs shoot out of it's body, twisting into shape before coming down hard on the papers, one after another. Stomp. Stomp. Stompstompstompstomp.

And as Ghost was stomping the discarded papers, a green dry-erase marker tried to slip back out the door and away.

It does take the shadow a moment to notice that none of the papers are responding and it's many eyes roam across the room once more, locking onto the scampering dry erase marker and it pounces! Too many spindly legs reach out and come down right behind Will, loosing whatever bone structure they were imitating and slithering along the ground to encircle the run-away eraser like a bundle of angry snakes.

The marker shifted again, this time into a mouse, as it tried to use increased mobility and agility to escape the encircling legs...

Most of the shadow-creature has become legs at this point, seeming more like a mass of snakes scrambling after the mouse, slamming open the classroom door that had swung most of the way close and startling a group of students on the other side.

Will scuttled towards the baseboard, trying to slip into a hole before Ghost could restrain him in some way...

And slip into a crack he did, disappearing into the tiny space in the walls. Unfortunately, one of the shadowy tendrils follows him and blocks out what little light came through the little opening.

And in the pitch black Will can feel the sheer presence of the tendril expand as if it was all around him, eyes on his back no matter which way he turns, insubstantial but suffusing the very air around him...

Until a very much solid hand closes around him and yanks him out of the wall.
