[Social] A Loaded Six-String

[Tereza Rozanov]

Tereza is settled off to one side on the steps of the manor, playing a guitar. The tune is recognizable, but she's not singing, just focusing intently on her fingers and the motions necessary to produce the sound she wants.

“But I’m a cowgirl...wanted dead or alive!!”

Haley had many talents, but singing in the right key. Or just. A key was apparently not one of them. She approached, a large (for her at least) bag slung over her shoulder. “Hey hottie! You guys miss me while I was hanging out at Muir causing trouble?”

Did Tereza's ears actually twitch when Haley hit, well, whatever it was that passed for a note there? Hard to say, but maybe. "Might have overlooked your absence, short stuff," she teases, "You doing okay?"

[Haley Crusek]

“Whatever alien creature or brain parasite or whatever the hell was giving me the migraine from hell has been killed. Or something..” she smirked.

“No. Apparently just trying to completely suppress your TP which is what I normally do to try and. I dunno. Not bother everyone with my leaky brain isn’t good for you. And then while I was there a bunch of baddies busted out. So...probably more eventful than here, TBH.”

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Yeah, suppression really isn't a viable strategy," she says, picking a few more chords. "And Sam mentioned something about the break out."

[Haley Crusek]

“Did I miss anything here other than the new headmaster and his little kiss-ass spies being boring as shit?”

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Not really. I think everyone's been trying to keep things quiet and figure out what's what."

[Haley Crusek]

“I should probably not whine about boring, when normally there’s alien invasions, dimensional weird shit, or magic doing shit to us on the reg.” she shrugged.

"There are some bits of magic I'm missing in my life for certain," Tereza says, strumming the guitar a couple of times.

[Haley Crusek]

“Yeah?” she asked, unsure if this was a topic that should be approached.

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Yeah. Vivienne's away and it's... hard," Tereza says, picking her way through some random notes.

[Haley Crusek]

She flashed a sympathetic smile, “I...at least you still have Sam?”

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Yeah, Sam and I have had some... differences lately. We're working on them, but shit's hard."

[Haley Crusek]

Haley frowned, “sorry to hear that...relationships are hard.”

Especially when you get super jealous and then give up a guy you really liked and now he’s way happier and you suck and...

The whole keeping the inner monologue thing to yourself was apparently hard for Haley today.

“You guys are super cute though. So hopefully you can work through it.”

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Thanks, I hope so too. Sounds like you've got some difficulties of your own. Do you wanna talk about it?"

[Haley Crusek]

Haley facepalmed, “god damnit. I suck at telepathy so much.”

She sighed, dropping her bag unceremoniously and taking a seat nearby “...but kind of, I guess.”

“I just...have a lot of regrets how things ended with Tosh.”

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Regrets when stuff ends is natural. What happened?"

[Haley Crusek]

“So...the other new werewolf girl. Not the curse-y one. Stephanie. She met and started hanging with Tosh because I dunno shifter bullshit and he’s super cute so I get it. But she starts crushing on him. And like. She turns back human with him for the first time but she was like. Basically buck ass naked.”

She sighed, “Wasn’t his fault. But he clearly enjoyed what he saw. And. I mean I don’t blame him if the picture I saw in his brain was real.”

“...and I didn’t mean to see it. I didn’t mean to look but I did and I got crazy jealous and I...may have lit his brain on fire a little bit.”

[Tereza Rozanov]

"That's... certainly a thing. Probably not your proudest moment."

[Haley Crusek]

“I think that probably started me trying really hard to just...bottle up and shut off my telepathy. Which. Stupid I know but. I could have killed him.”

She sighed, “the worst part was I dumped him. He said he didn’t care that I sent him to the infirmary. That he cared about me. I’m just a fucking train wreck. I’m doing terrible in my classes, my head always hurts, I haven’t gotten laid in months, and my powers are just.”

"That's a familiar feeling," she says, removing her hand from her guitar to set it on Haley's shoulder. "Feeling like you're a danger to the people you care about. That you're not good or good enough for them."

[Haley Crusek]

“You’re amazing though. You can play guitar, you can sing unlike me, you’re smoking hot, and if you have control problems with your ice shit or your werewolf thing you sure as shit don’t show it.”

"Just cause I don't show it, doesn't mean the struggle isn't there. My wolf and I had some intense disagreements over Sam."

[Haley Crusek]

Haley nodded, regarding her friend carefully, “I’ve always been too...I dunno...shy? to ask you about the werewolf stuff. So like...there really are sort of like...two of you up there?” she asked tapping her temple. “It sometimes feels like that I guess... I dunno. It’s hard to explain telepathy shit. But like. I can always tell when people are around me because I can just sort of feel that they’re there, even if I can’t see them? And with you, sometimes, it almost feels like...two. But also like....not?”

"Some days its more like one and a half, but sort of. She's... less feral than she was when I first changed, at least from my perspective. And again, that's some days. We... talk. Sam's talked to her several times. Usually, when I've changed, she's the one more in charge."

[Haley Crusek]

“Does she...talk? Or is it more like...emotional vibes?”

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Oh, she talks. She's very... direct."

[Haley Crusek]

“I suppose in the grand scheme of things a talking brain wolf is probably not a huge leap of the imagination for me,” she smirked.

"At least it's gotten easier to see the parts of me that she is and not feel like she's a completely foreign thing."
