"Man... everythin' looks so different when you aren't seven feet tall," said Leo the human, dressed today in yet more complimentary XU sweats, as he and Ainsley moved to a table, "And the noise... it's like someone turned down the volume on everybody."

[Ainsley Green]

Ainsley merely shrugged. Having always clocked in at 5'6'', he never really knew what it was just to be anything but short. Even now, he was still shorter than Leo. He slid his tray into an open seat and watched Leo as he took in everything.

Sitting next to Ainsley, he looked at him with a smile. Seeing the young man in such high spirits was a new thing, especially with the uncertainty over his continued place at a school for mutants. But he was cured of his beastliness and was quite possibly in love, so what wasn't to be happy about?

"So... does cafeteria breakfast count as a date?"

[Ainsley Green]

Ainsley looked very unamused and shook his head at Leo as he stabbed a piece of melon with his fork.

"Dude, I wasn't serious," he said in his defense.

After chewing a bite of pancake, he sighed and added, "I know I'm a bit... overeager about all this. I'll... try to do better."

[Ainsley Green]

Ainsley pulled out a pad of paper and started writing with one hand, and eating with another.

"Going to see what we can do about getting a BSL tutor. Can help you practice but since mute, not the best teacher."

[Leo Eskandari]

"I wouldn't be surprised if the school has somebody for that, of at least can point us to one."

[Ainsley Green]

"Seems like they will be busy awhile."

[Leo Eskandari]

"It can't hurt to ask, can it?"

[Ainsley Green]

"Don't want to waste time."

[Leo Eskandari]

"Whatever you think gets me there faster," he said with a shrug.

[Ainsley Green]

Ainsley nodded, then went to focusing on his food.

[Leo Eskandari]

After eating in silence for awhile, Leo said, "I definitely got too much food. Guess I got used to lion-sized portions."

[Ainsley Green]

Ainsley eyed the other boys tray to see if there was anything he could help him with.

There was an American biscuit, some fruit, some eggs, and a small sausage link left. Smaller than what would be left of true lion portions. And Leo, leaving meat behind? Truly things had changed.

Ainsley reached out and took the fruit without a second thought.

[Leo Eskandari]

"Want to go hang out in the common room after this? We could watch a movie or somethin'."

[Ainsley Green]

Ainsley shrugged, then nodded. Not like they had a lot to do in the meantime while they awaited the return of their powers.
