At some point in the action -- and it was a credit to both of their performances that the exact 'when' was somewhat in question -- someone had placed a couple of glasses of water and a washcloth on the top of the piano. Truly, an act of consideration.

The door was indeed blocked, the ice still there. No one could come in or go out; the privacy barrier had not been broken.

There was no other obvious source for the water; no sink in the music room. Though the 'W.S.' monogram in the corner of the washcloth was a minor hint as to their origins.
