Well, I think it can slip past what I'm 'OK' with because I know you, unlike some people, aren't malicious. That eventually, the status quo will be restored. That was always the danger with Melpomene; she was fine with wadding people up and tossing them away when they no longer suited her. That, I think, is why I freaked out in the club.

That, and my laundry list of Issues.

"Right. Right, yes. Aftercare, so to speak."

[Will Stanton]

Well, at the very least, a promise not to steal my name forever and never give it back unless you get punched in the face multiple times by a superhero team who were attracted by the scent of my roasting flesh.

You know. It's good to have red lines.

[Miriam Bell]

Miriam's lip curls in disgust. She may not have gone looking for details in Will's mind, but she's seen the broad memories of it and the thoughts resonate like a half-forgotten nightmare.

"While I don't mind talking about it, perhaps ease up when I'm reading your thoughts. You might just be silently talking in your head but I can feel the memories tugging at my mind."

[Will Stanton]

Ah. Sorry about that. I suppose what's old sores for me are fresh and disturbing for you.

[Miriam Bell]

"But point taken. Some lines aren't blurred so much as they're yawning chasms."

[Will Stanton]

And, for what it's worth, I don't think you're at any real risk of diving onto the other side of the chasm any time soon. I mean, if you were, you wouldn't be worrying about it.

"Right. Yes. Anyway... you said I should figure out what I want and I think what I want from you is to make metaphorical puppy-dog eyes when I push you against the wall..."

So, not a blank slate, but one that's easy enough for you to paint over, hrm? Lifting with lighter weights before tangling with the heavyweight Goddess herself Will teased.

[Miriam Bell]

"Oh can it. But no, not a purely blank slate. I want to make you whimper and know that you love every moment of it and I think that's pretty close to what you want as well."

[Will Stanton]

We may, ah. May be singing from the same hymnal here, Will acknowledged, mentally stumbling a little bit over the thoughts. Not quite as shameless as he liked to act, that one.

[Miriam Bell]

"That's what I thought." she smirks. "Now, you better hope you got my size right..." she adds, eyeing the sheer fabric in her hand and pushing herself off of the piano to head for the door. The partial mindscape she'd manifested falling away but bits of weed encircled cobble-stone still emerge and recede in her wake.

[Will Stanton]

Oh, now that's just cruel. I do have a functioning memory and high standards, you know, he said, indignantly.

[Miriam Bell]

"Oh you're saying you've memorized every curve and contour? Purely for sartorial reasons, I'm sure."

[Will Stanton]

I have a very tactile memory. Secondary mutation; expose me to something for long enough and I can replicate it. And, well, you were out and about in the sunlight quite a bit. So, unless your newfound appetite has you putting on the pounds already...

[Miriam Bell]

"Oh I know how you tick. Stop explaining yourself and learn how to flirt, Stanton."

[Will Stanton]

Oh, I see how it is. Critique my skills and expect compliments for it. Hrmph. Better treat me as I deserve, or you might find some underwiring poking out in a delicate area.

[Miriam Bell]

"Well I suppose there's a little bratty in there after all when it comes to second-guessing your skills. But no, I have no actual doubts in your capabilities."

[Will Stanton]

It's hazardous duty, for sure. Many a band has been worn out keeping the girls in place and in comfort. But, well, there I go being a hero again.

[Miriam Bell]

"The true secret war being fought in the peaks and valleys."

[Will Stanton]

Frankly, I've always found myself better suited for spelunking, but we go where the battles are being fought.

[Miriam Bell]

"And perhaps occasionally you'll even look human. Though I suppose you could also be the crop..."

[Will Stanton]

The cream of the crop, naturally, though that sounds like it would have to involve at least someone else. Or another me, at any rate. Surprised you never went to that well during your months of looping.

"I'm sorry my existential nightmare wasn't sexy enough for you." she laughs.

[Will Stanton]

I'm just saying. Some people would try to drown it out with booze or pills, but a) that's not really your style, and b) you didn't exactly have a functioning circulatory system. I'm not criticizing, I'm just....surprised, is all.

[Miriam Bell]

"It's about more than just the indulgence of whipping somebody, I guess. There was plenty of sex that wouldn't leave me reeling if it went forgotten."

[Will Stanton]

I'll admit, causing physical pain like that is...well, not something I've done much of in the past, as any part of it. But I do get that it's not just about going through the motions.

[Miriam Bell]

"And nothing makes it seem more appealing than dryly dissecting it, yes." she smirks slightly.

[Will Stanton]

You're the one just walking around talking to a bra! I get not wanting to change in the middle of the music room, but I'm just saying, y'know. If you wanted me to shut up, you've got a near-infinite number of ways to shut me up.

[Miriam Bell]

"Okay, that's quite enough." she says and stalks off to the nearest bathroom to go and exchange her underwear for something a little more snug. She takes a moment to admire herself in the mirror (along with the fact that this is something she can now once again do) and then pulls her dress pants and low-cut blouse back on.

"A little lower on the décolletage." she decides with a sideway glance at her reflection, tugging down on the bra. "But leave some of the lace showing."

[Will Stanton]

As Miriam tugs down on Will, he slips down and retracts some, as if the act of pulling him was what caused the shift itself. The bra itself shifted into more of a plunge style, dipping a bit lower in the middle of her bust to reveal bit more of Miriam's actual living flesh, rather than the vampiric pale pallor she had been boasting for months prior. The lace also seemed to blossom and grow a little bit to account for the new angle, sliding across her skin to just peek out of her blouse.

[Miriam Bell]

"Not bad at all..." she says, twisting at the hip to judge her look from a couple different vantage points. "I wonder... Being a shapeshifter it'd obviously be functionally irrelevant but have you ever worn yourself since you've gotten split into multitudes?"

[Will Stanton]

Will was tight but not constrictive, bending and flexing along with Miriam as she twisted this way and that, preserving modesty. If that could be a consideration, considering.

I...may have experimented with a couple things, yes, Will said. Not actively avoiding the question, but also not necessarily providing extra information.

[Miriam Bell]

"I want to see. I know what I like and from the look if this so do you, but I imagine this wouldn't be your style."

[Will Stanton]

You want to see what I picked out? Or you want to see me dressed up in me? Will asked, a bit confused.

[Miriam Bell]

"I want to see what you dress yourself up in when nobody is looking." she smirks at herself in the mirror.

[Will Stanton]

I mean, if I'm dressing up for me, I'm not particularly something to look at. But, erm, yes. Yes, I can show you that, when we get back to the mirror...

Miriam presses two fingers between her eyebrows and lets out an exasperated sigh.

"Will. I'm not trying to see you in your schlubbiest clothes. I want to see what you might dress yourself up in if you wanted to enjoy or please yourself."

[Will Stanton]

There was a pause. A fairly long pause. For someone as talkative and bratty as Will could be, it was an interminable pause.

You want to see how I'd dress if no one was watching.

It wasn't a question.

"Or judging. Yes."
