Practical Applications

In the Grand Foyer of Braddock Manor, there was two grand staircases, heading up in opposite directions to the second floor. In between them, over the two-story entranceway, was a large chandelier.

Perched on one of the banisters on the second floor was Carlos Vasquez, in a training outfit.

Walking below, Chase stopped to look up at Carlos. He arched a brow.

Carlos carefully judged the distance...and then did a half-flip forward, grabbing the bottom of the chandelier with his legs.

He swung back and forth as he gauged his next jump.

Chase watched a little nervously. He knew he himself could pull off that maneuver, but knew nothing about Carlos' abilities.

Carlos' abilities were apparently up to snuff, as he did another perfect half-twist to launch himself onto the other banister, where he stood, arms akimbo, to regain his balance.

Carlos, surprised to see he was watched, lost his balance, and went tumbling over the railing!

Carlos would hit Chase with a loud smash, but Chase could probably catch him with ease.

"Oh, hi there. Didn't see you come in."

Chase groaned as he stumbled to keep his footing through the impact.

"You should work on your observation skills then. Then again I'm very sneaky."

He helped Carlos to his feet.
