[Tereza Rozanov]

Tereza was leafing through the mythology shelf in the library, looking through books before sliding them back onto the shelves. She had accumulated a small stack of books that seemed to be mostly British Isles folklore.

A suit sat quietly at the information desk with it's vest bent over the desk. If it noticed Tereza, it didn't seem to respond.

After looking through a few more books, Tereza picked up her small stack and moved over to a chair. She gingerly balanced the books on one leg while flipping open the top of the stack and starting to read.

Moving behind Tereza to put something away, the suit stopped . Pretty girl... He was considering her for a moment when he tried to see what she was reading without getting too close.

It seemed to be a book of British legends, the kind of book that went in for woodcut illustrations. "If you need one of these books, all you need to do is ask," she said without looking up.

It took most of Basil's strength not to jump when he was busted.

"Nope! Just being nosey." He admitted with a laugh. He stopped looking over her shoulder though since he'd been caught peeking.

"That seems like a quality that's attached to the X-Gene," Tereza commented, flipping another page or two in the book.

[Basil Benson]

"Sadly, I wouldn't know." Basil replied as he shelved something. "I'm the only one in my family with this condition."

"So am I, as far as I know."

[Basil Benson]

"Friends of yours then?" Basil followed up asking.

[Tereza Rozanov]

"I've had quite a few nosey mutant friends, yes," she said, smiling to herself.

[Basil Benson]

"Ahh, that's the problem then. I don't have any friends yet. Maybe once I do I can find out how nosey they all are." He sounded humoured enough.

[Tereza Rozanov]

"I find it hard to believe you don't have any friends. Even I have friends."

[Basil Benson]

"... Do my grandparents count? I wasn't counting them because I am pretty sure it's in the rules that if they talk to you they have to be your friend." He quipped.

[Tereza Rozanov]

"I don't know that it's actually in the rules, but that probably counts depending on who you're talking to."

[Basil Benson]

"Well then I have zayde and bubbe. That's it though." Basil stopped organizing for a moment, and his hand cradled an invisible chin.

"There was a nice girl who spoke to me in the Union building. And a boorish one who had a conversation with me here. And there was an interesting fellow who I think had amnesia." He seemed to be considering this out loud.

"Nope, definitely not friends. They never asked to speak to me again which means for now they are acquaintances."

Basil was awfully chatty in the quiet room today.

[Tereza Rozanov]

"It takes some people more time than it takes others."

[Basil Benson]

"Probably..." He considered, becoming very quiet just long enough for the silence to become awkward.

"Oh! I'm sorry, were you finding everything alright? I'm to ask that I suppose, even though it seems you are doing fine."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"So far, I would have thought this library would have more in regards to British myth, but I think I've exhausted what it has on that specific topic."

[Basil Benson]

"Hmmm... Was there something exact you were wondering about, or just the basics?"

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Specifically the fey. I'm not overly concerned with accuracy at this point, just a survey of the available information."

[Basil Benson]

"Hmmm." He sat against a step on the ladder, and continued his 'chin in hand' thinking again. "Fey is a fancy way of saying fairy, so I would look in that direction. I imagine someone who is into fairies might not be narrowing their field so specific to one place. I know we have a book full of types of fairies as well as one that catalogs all manner of magical beings.

Also, if we really want to try to narrow it in a different manner, maybe books with Celtic fairy tales inside?

A book like you're looking at there-" His cuff on his sleeve turned, indicating he might be pointing at what Tereza had been looking that. " -Is going to have an alternate problem. It's going to pull in a lot of things that have nothing to do with fey, like the Flying Dutchman or the Holy Grail."

"To a certain extent, Arthurian myths are alright too. It's... a strange set of subjects to be pulled together."

[Basil Benson]

Fingers snapped as he sat upright.

"Alright! I have just the one for that, and we'll grab the others I mentioned as well."

If Tereza had followed him, he'd stop twice. Once, to pick up a book labeled 'Spirits, Fairies, Leprechauns, and Goblins: An Encyclopedia' and another with the general title of 'Celtic Fairy Tales'. The second time he stopped was in non-fiction. There was a small section devoted to a number of books labeled 'The Oxford Guide to:' and there just happened to be one that had the extended title of 'Arthurian Literature and Legend.'

When he brought them to her, he would hold them out for her to take.

She accepted the books, glancing at them quickly. "Yes, these should do nicely. I appreciate it."

[Basil Benson]

Brazil's blazer shrugged. " I am honestly not up on the sort of thing you are looking into. My British side doesn't speak to me and my other family isn't from here. I hope they help your research though."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"I'm not particularly well-versed either, but I'm getting better. More versed in American and Russian culture."

[Basil Benson]

"Well I don't want to make you think I am not a proud Britain either. That won't do.

Should I regale you with my vast knowledge of Dr.Who episodes?"

[Tereza Rozanov]

"No, that's quite alright."

[Basil Benson]

"Perhaps another time then." Basil paused. "Do you remember it? Russia I mean. "

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Yes. Some of it unhappily. My parents turned me over to a school for mutants as soon as my powers showed themselves. It's not a place I like remembering."

[Basil Benson]

Knowing in a degree how that felt, Basil pressed no more.

"I'm sorry. i shouldn't have asked that. It was very rude of me." He replied, a deep sadness in his voice. "I'll leave you be to your books."
