I2DT - Rainy Days

[Miriam Bell]

Miriam is standing outside the front entrance of the manor, just underneath the cover of the entry. She's holding her phone and staring out into the rain. Finally she lifts up her phone and dials Trinity's number.

[Trinity]

It takes a couple of rings before it picks up. "Mnemosyne, good to hear from you. I was just thinking about you. To what do I owe the pleasure?"

[Miriam Bell]

"Hi Trinity. Just some things I could stand to get away from for a while, so I thought I'd see if your schedule's open."

[Trinity]

"You know you're always welcome to stay at the house with us if you want. Bring whatever you think you'll need and we can fill in the gaps. I'll be there as soon as I can get the car out."

[Miriam Bell]

"Maybe for the weekend. I do still have classes to attend." A weekend with Trinity sounded exactly what she could use to take her mind off of the things she'd found in Will's head. Maybe she could even bring him, make sure Sam didn't get it into her sanctimonious head that she had to open that box after all. It'd certainly make her feel better and Will would probably enjoy being a cocktail dress for a bit...

"Would you mind if I brought a friend? He wouldn't intrude, I promise. I just don't want to bring any uninvited guests, even if they're just a dress or necklace."

[Trinity]

"Do you trust them? You know the sort of things that might get talked about." Trinity sounded curious.

[Miriam Bell]

"He's just fine with me being in his head. I don't think he would have minded us helping that guy over his bigotry."

[Trinity]

"Okay, if you trust him," she said. "We're getting in the car now. We'll see you in a bit."

[Miriam Bell]

"I'll be at the front gate." she says before hanging up and dialing Will's number.

[Will Stanton]

"Will Stanton," Will said, a bit gruffly into the phone.

[Miriam Bell]

"Hey Will, it's Miriam. How are you doing?"

[Will Stanton]

"I'm hanging in there. What can I do for you, Miriam?"

[Miriam Bell]

"Some friends invited me to spend the weekend with them. I was wondering if you would care to come along. I could use a one-man wardrobe and I thought you might like a couple days of peace of mind."

[Will Stanton]

"Hrm? Oh, yeah, I guess I could lend you a hand there, if you needed help. I'm good at that sort of stuff."

[Miriam Bell]

"Great. They're sending a car to pick us up, I'm just grabbing an umbrella and some other things. Meet me at the gate?"

[Will Stanton]

"How long do I have?"

[Miriam Bell]

"However long you need. They can wait a little if need be."

[Will Stanton]

"OK, give me 15 minutes," Will nodded, as the sounds of exertion and thumping increased in the background.

[Miriam Bell]

"What are you doing anyway? Sounds like you're in the gym or something."

[Will Stanton]

"That's exactly where I am. Just finishing a bit of a workout. Don't mind me."

[Miriam Bell]

"Okay then. Well, I'll see you soon."
