I2DT - Waiting in the Rain

[Trinity]

Trinity seemed to contemplate poking at his mind a bit, but decided not too. He's something of an open book, she thought to Miriam.

[Miriam Bell]

"Very much so, yes. He's very vulnerable." she sends back. There's a distinct feeling of protectiveness to it.

[Trinity]

He's safe around me, she responded, obviously trying to soothe whatever protective feelings Miriam had.

[Miriam Bell]

"I wouldn't have invited him along otherwise. There was some disagreement with someone at the school about it, that's all."

[Trinity]

Ah. They pulled up in front of the farm house and two of the triplets got out, one of them folding up the Will-dress under one arm. "Let's get everyone inside then we can figure out what to do."

[Miriam Bell]

Miriam nods before she gets out of the car to follow the two Trinities inside.

[Trinity]

Once they were inside, Bitshift came out of his control room, "Trinity, she called again while you were gone. Phone location had her in London. I sent Ursus and Flare to keep an eye on her."

"Thank you. We have a couple of guests, so coordinate everything for me, would you?" She was visibly hiding the fact that she wasn't happy, but Miriam could sense the change in her sense.

He glanced at Miriam and then around, "Um, sure. I'll keep you posted."

She motioned up the stairs, "We can go relax and then maybe dinner?"

[Miriam Bell]

"Sounds good. But if you're busy I wouldn't be too upset if you want to split some of your attention..."

[Trinity]

"Not at all. I'd much rather spend time with you. Bitshift's more than capable of handling this and Blaze can help him if he needs it. Just keeping an eye on an impatient associate, that's all."

[Miriam Bell]

"Glad to hear it's not a big problem."

[Trinity]

"It pays to stay ahead of small problems so they don't become big ones," she said, leading the way upstairs to her room.

[Miriam Bell]

"Great. The last thing I mean is to impose. I just kind of felt I had to get a couple of days to just relax. If you have things to take care of please don't feel you have to entertain us the whole weekend."

[Trinity]

"You entertain me as much as I entertain you," Trinity said with a laugh as the third triplet caught up with them. As they got into her room, she closed the door and hit the button on the device next to it. The thinking outside world disappeared behind the low level hum.

[Miriam Bell]

Miriam lets out a soft sigh of relief. "Have I mentioned how much I love this room?" she smirks.

[Trinity]

"No, but we can tell," Trinity said with a small laugh. One of the triplets started rubbing her shoulders. "So just relax."

[Miriam Bell]

"Gladly." she smiles. "Care to have one of you try on the dress?" she asks as she leans into the massage a bit.

[Trinity]

"Might as well," said the triplet holding the dress, changing into it with the help of the other free triplet. She swirled in front of the mirror, smoothing down the dress. "You're good, Will. Very good."

[Will Stanton]

A general feeling of contentment was what she got from Will primarily.

I know it.

[Trinity]

Want to try something different? She fed Will a mental image.

[Will Stanton]

Before Will could respond, Trinity felt him shifting on her. It was as if just feeding him the image was enough to trigger the changes.

It was also a closer match to what she wanted than the original dress, which was just ever-so-slightly off.

[Trinity]

"What do you think?" She asked Miriam, doing a model turn in the dress.

[Miriam Bell]

"It looks fabulous." she nods approvingly.

[Trinity]

"I could use a dozen of you, Will, but you're fabulous as a one-of-a-kind."

[Will Stanton]

Only one of me, as far as I know he thought

There was a slight undercurrent of concern--he hadn't intended to shift. That was not normal.

[Trinity]

I can definitely ask around to see if there are more if you think there might be. "So what would you like to do, Mnemosyne?"

[Miriam Bell]

"Well if you're not tied up here I thought we might head into London, maybe go to the theater and find a nice restaurant."

[Trinity]

"I think we can manage that. Sound good to you, Will?"

[Will Stanton]

Whatever you guys want.

[Miriam Bell]

"Would you prefer to come along as yourself or like this? You do look exceptionally good on her."

[Will Stanton]

I'd hate to be a third wheel, unless you actually require a third wheel

[Trinity]

"No need to worry. We'd be happy to have you along," she said, smoothing out the dress.

[Will Stanton]

Well, I assumed you wouldn't leave me behind, unless something really needed to be done here.

[Trinity]

"A night at the theater for the five of us it is then," Trinity said.

[Miriam Bell]

"Excellent. It'll be lovely, I'm sure."
