"You're turning things I say into sly little dirty jokes. Just curious if you were trying to deflect something or suggest something or if I'm reading too much into it."

"I apologize. You have given me ample opportunities and I have taken zem. I suppose zat it is all for a bit of small talk, gauging one's sense of humour, no?"

[Vinny Patterson]

"True," Vinny nodded. "I just wasn't sure if you were...uncomfortable."

[Colette Rosenhof]

Colette shook her head. "Not at all Vincent. As I said, you have been a perfect gentleman. Would I be so chatty were I not enjoying your company?"

[Vinny Patterson]

"Well, you never know. Some people make jokes when they're awkward and uncomfortable, and you DO normally eat alone," he shrugged, smiling.

[Colette Rosenhof]

"Zat is true, but I assure you Vincent, I am very comfortable. Were I not, would I not simply pretend to receive a text and leave to meet someone?" Colette gave him a soft smile before looking down at her food, stirring up one of her sides.

"As for sitting alone, zat is not always by choice anyway."

[Vinny Patterson]

"Well, then, we'll make sure that doesn't happen anymore."

[Colette Rosenhof]

"Zat is very sweet of you to offer Vincent, but you do not need to put yourself zrough zat for my sake."

[Vinny Patterson]

"Nah, you look like you're an exciting and wonderful person. It's not trouble at all."

[Colette Rosenhof]

Colette somehow managed to be even more pink, and for once was at a loss for words.

"Finish your desserts," Vinny teased. "You're going all crimson."

[Colette Rosenhof]

Colette scrunched up her face and was about to protest, but muffled herself with spoonfuls of food so as not to babble.
