"I guess it... makes sense that people would be... you know, into that and all."

"It's a little surprising for the amount of vocal shit we get as being the spawn of the devil, but you'd be surprised at the people that show up."

"So people who'd never admit in public that they fancy people with something extra."

[Miranda Haven]

"Yup. Even once saw two people come in, see each other. And the looks they gave each other were priceless. They ended up staying, but pointedly ignored each other."

"I wouldn't feel guilty at all taking their money after that."

[Miranda Haven]

"Never feel guilty about taking others money. And just so we're clear, before the rumor gets around. Despite my age, I've never actually held that job."

"I wasn't implying," she says, putting her hands up in protest.

[Miranda Haven]

"Don't worry about it. Just didn't want you to assume. So much baggage in those assumptions."

"Aye, and there's enough baggage on my side already."

[Miranda Haven]

"Everyone brings more of the non-physical baggage to university I guess."

[Samantha McManus]

"Wouldn't be here if we were normal well-adjusted people."

[Miranda Haven]

"So what do the non-normal, poorly-adjusted people do for fun? Any good pubs?"

[Samantha McManus]

"Everyone seems to go to the Rose and Crown if they go into town. My roommate used to work there, but she's been going through a rough patch."

"The student union building's not bad."

[Miranda Haven]

"That's the place with the billiard tables, right?"

[Samantha McManus]

She nods.

"And kind of a halfarsed pub that's mostly good for fried cheese and the like."

[Miranda Haven]

"Hey, it's a place where you'll only get harassed by university guys, right? Can't be all bad."

[Samantha McManus]

"There's that, aye. Pretty much just students, there."

[Miranda Haven]

"So who's off limits? I wouldn't want to upset the order of things by making eyes at the wrong person."

[Samantha McManus]

"Well well, look who's getting ahead of herself."

[Miranda Haven]

"You mean you didn't come to college to flirt?" She laughed.

[Samantha McManus]

"I might be the only one, but aye." She chuckles.

[Miranda Haven]

"Ah, one of those with the lofty goals of getting a proper education," she said, putting on a mock serious air.
