And It Was Late In The Evening...

[Tereza Rozanov]

Tereza relaxed, "Being closer to you would be kind of nice, but we're roommates, wouldn't it be weird?"

[Narrator]

"Everything here is weird. I'm weird, you're weird. Don't tell me you've never been... curious."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Well, yeah, but the roommates and seeing other people thing..."

[Narrator]

"Neither of us have that other problem anymore, do we?"

[Tereza Rozanov]

She frowned, "Yeah, I guess... It's just... soon."

[Narrator]

"So you don't want to?" She asks, pulling back a bit and letting go of Tereza's hand. She leaves one hand trailing off of her friend's shoulder, teasingly.

"I mean, if it's not something we both want..."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"No," Tereza says, taking Sam's hand. "It's not that. It's just a lot to take in?"

[Narrator]

"Says the girl who just admitted she's learned my scent," she says, leaning in inches away from Tereza's face.

"So tell me, what do you want?"

[Tereza Rozanov]

"My life on my own terms. And if you're in that, then that would be awesome."

[Narrator]

"All I've ever wanted for you is to be free..."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Then let's make that happen," she said, leaning closer to Sam.

[Narrator]

Sam leans in and kisses Tereza deeply. Caught up in the moment, the ice-wielder can feel the changes coming on again, her joints popping and the black pelt rushing over her growing frame until she towers over the friend she's embracing, a shaggy beast rather like the one there's a nagging memory of. The smell of wet dog coming in sharp again as Tereza realizes it's coming from her...

...and then she woke up with a gasp, drenched in sweat and more than a little flustered.

[Tereza Rozanov]

Tereza sat up, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Well... that was fucking weird."

[Narrator]

Looking down at herself she's normal again. Well, for Tereza levels of 'normal.' Thank god, eh?

Small blessings and all that. She looked over at Sam's empty bed and sighed. She flopped back down with a grunt, sleep slowly crawling back up to claim her and thankfully this time it was dreamless.
