Chisaki was done in record time, and was careful not to be rough with what was basically an extension of Diego's spine.

"All done! You can put your pants back on now."

"That was fast," he observed as he began pulling his pants back on.

That's what she said.

He chuckled to himself.

"I could have done more, but I already did more than I really needed." She states, practically climbing under her bed to look for something.

"Need anything else?" he asked as he finished redressing. "Like... I could... pay for the fabric?"

"Nope!

Christmas is around the corner. Think of it as a gift."

"You sure? You don't have to," he answered. Although the truth was he might not actually be able to afford it. And he was already thinking of what he could possibly get her to return the sentiment.

"Of course! It will not be much."She replied, beaming.

"If you're sure.

So... what's Christmas like in Japan anyway?"

"Not as fun as in the western world." She admitted while reading the pattern package she pulled out.

"In many aspects, the holiday is a lot like your Valentine's Day, which we have also borrowed and changed to suit our culture.

On Christmas Eve, couples go out to dinner and on dates and walks to look at light displays together. On Christmas Day, families and friends might get together and share a bucket of KFC and some Christmas cake.

Some people might send cards, but that is about it."

"Strangely, I've had at least two Christmas Days like that," he chuckled. "We called it Chicksmas."

"You do gifts too?"

"Not like Americans do, to be sure.

I think because gift giving is so part of our ingrained culture, some people do not wish to start up yet more excuses for another chain of gifting."

"That makes sense. And we go so insane with the gift giving at Christmas that the economy would collapse without it."

"I have enjoyed it here in this country. Almost the entire time I have been here there has been Christmas stuff everywhere! I am going to miss it once the holidays pass."

"Well then I'll just have to randomly dress up as Santa Claus to cheer you up," he grinned.

"Diego-Senpai. you are not big enough to be Santa-san!

Silly." Despite her statement, she seemed genuinely amused by the idea.

"You didn't know?" he asked, pretending to look shocked, "Santa went on a diet. Its been all over social media."

"Nuh uh! You are lying! Do not lie Diego-senpai! If you do, your face will get stuck that way."

He broke out laughing. "You mean like this?" he said, making a comical sneaky face.

"Ssttoop!" She replied amid a fit of giggles.

"I can't! It's stuck!" he answered mock-fearfully, words distorted by his effort to keep the face.

Chisaki's face turned into a deep frown on concern as she leant in to touch Deigo's face to help him.

His face broke free into an amused grin, "Kidding!"

"You scared me!" She replied, before bursting into a grin and tapping him against the chest.

"I'm a baaad widdle kitty," he said with a smirk.

"Do faces actually get stuck where you're from?"

"Not especially, but I have seen peoples faces get stuck before.

Nuerotoxins mostly."

"Really? That's... Where did you encounter neurotoxins?" he asked with mild alarm.

"Fighting badguys, of course!"

"Oh! Duh," he chuckled awkwardly. "At XI, right?"

"Yes. Sometimes other places too."
