"Or perhaps being around so many humans that know about your ravens has effected your nature and you are simply compulsively collecting the broken and shiny."

"I'd say now you're definitely teasing, but you get to decide whether you're broken or shiny."

"It's up to the raven herself to decide on the value of the bauble. Let's just say, I think I'm a little of both. Now, what are we going to do about these "bear traps" we've gotten ourselves into."

"We definitely have to protect Wanda, as I understand it. It's game over if they take her."

"Other than that I guess we... take up vampire hunting?"

"I think that may not be such a bad idea. Two wolves, two fey, a possible goddess, a weather...mancer and perhaps your wizard acquaintance. Could be a very interesting evening."

"We've been on the defensive too much. I wouldn't mind taking the fight to them."

"I am not a fan of anyone being someone else's pawn. Might finally get some definite answers as to what's going on as well."

"And apparently vampires... really rub me the wrong way. Wouldn't be bad to scratch that itch."

"Well, that makes sense, according to fey lore, you were the keeper of the souls. Twisting soul magic did make the First Ones and really the dead are not supposed to keep roaming about. They're just super freaky."

"I'm still getting used to that feeling. The things that... offend me on some fundamental gut level."

"Then a hunting trip is in order." Vivienne smiled.

"Now...was there anything else..." She looked at the ceiling.

"Ah, yes. Are you acquainted with a young man named Trev Anderson?"

"Kind of doughy, loud? Fairly nice, though."

"Yes. He and Gemma have had a single date and she is intrigued by him. In all honesty he is the complete and polar opposite of most fey males I have ever met, so I can understand the fascination. I want to be sure he understands the uniqueness that is a fey female especially one with extensive martial training and little social training. How would you suggest I approach him?"

"...it's kind of adorable you're about to go all Mother Bear on him."

"I'd maybe tell him to liken it to... dating a homeschooled girl?"

"It is actually for his own safety. If he were to make her feel threatened in anyway...I do not doubt that she would protect herself to the fullest of her ability. She is an elf of the Rainbow Wood, they have a reputation for being vicious and fiercely protective of their forest. So much so even the Grey Lords never travel through them, but around."

"And he is an elf of the Gygaxian lands, where they roll dice in lieu of slaying fierce beasts."

"He ah... might think he knows more than he actually does."

"I have had a chance to read some of the more modern lore books. If he is a holder to these lore versions then a conversation is definitely in order."
