Nailah heads up onto the roof with Haley in tow. She's finishing off her beer as she looks around.

"Hmm... I think it'd work best if I try to swoop in and grab you where you hover."

A certain moping redhead is out strolling the grounds, blissfully unaware.

"Wait. Let me finish this..." she said grinning like only a tipsy person could. Haley proceeded to pound a basically full bottle of beer, and then let out another huge belch.

"Alright, just make sure you're hovering, right? I'll come right back around and then we'll go up. Just... hold up your arms and get ready!" she says and takes a running start towards the edge of the roof. Despite being tipsy she manages to place her foot perfectly on the edge and her wings snap open as she jumps out into the open air. She glides downward for a second before two powerful beats of her wings carry her up again.

Sam makes her way through the gardens, clearing her head.

Haley's eyes widened in amazement as she saw the wings in action. She set her empty beer down on the roof, cleared her mind, and willed herself aloft, hovering about four feet off the roof with her arms stretched high.

"Here we go!" Nailah warns her as she swoops down towards the roof, catching her descent at roughly the right height and flying towards Haley. He holds out her hands as well and aims to grab Haley by her forearms. That much she manages, yanking Haley with her from sheer momentum and even keeping the two of them aloft with the help of Haley's telekinesis. At least until they get to the edge of the roof when the ground is much further away all of a sudden. Nailah feels them sag down, beating her wings like crazy to give them some upwards momentum while they zip over the slowly approaching line of tree-tops in the gardens.

"Ah fuck fuck fuck!" Haley yelled at the approaching trees, trying to give herself a greater push upwards with her TK.

That's about when Sam hears airborne obscenity heading her way. She manages to look up, but then is somewhat frozen in place as she tries to process sheer absurdity of what she's seeing.

They go careening off to the side when the sudden push throws Nailah off. Thankfully, the closer they're getting to the ground the better Haley manages to slow their fall. Unfortunately it also brings her on collision course with a deer-in-headlight Sam.

"Watch out!" Nailah manages before the two of them go narrowly hurtling past Sam and right into a couple of bushes, throwing up a small plume of leafs and feathers.

The plume of leaves and debris was certainly enhanced by the slightly miscalculated telekinetic shield carving an eight foot wide, foot deep impact crater, completely destroying those poor bushes, but preventing the girls from getting too scraped up. Haley wound up pinned underneath Nailah, looking up at her with a gleam in her eye.

"Y'know, normally I make people at least buy me dinner before they get on top of me," she managed to joke before just starting to cackle with glee, the booze making this entire scene *hilarious*

Nailah's skillful maneuvering certainly did avoid Sam, but Haley's giant telekinetic outburst made up for that, sending her tumbling.

"...ow."

Nailah is slow to shake off the daze but when she does and spots Haley pinned underneath her she blushes furiously and awkwardly tries to push herself off of her. "Sorry!" she squeaks out.

Haley giggled, "Don't worry, I only bite if you ask nice."

She around this time noticed Sam, "Oh shit. Are you okay?"

Sam slowly rights herself.

"What... was that?"

"We... tried to fly together?" she says sheepishly, paying a lot of attention to the leafs she's picking out of her wings.

"We should have tried using a carpet and singing "A Whole New World," Haley suggested helpfully from her position at the bottom of her crater.

Sam groans, brushing herself off.

"...guess the party's over?"

"I don't know. We just left because we wanted to try and fly."

"Yeah, I saw her hover and I got excited about being able to take someone up into the sky..."

"...didn't work, aye?"

"Could have gone better..." she admits, finally having the good sense to help up Haley.

Haley accepted the hand up, still giggling, and clearly drunk.

"I think...maybe we try sober next time?"

She looked to have a brilliant insight for a moment, "Or maybe....we aren't drunk enough,"

Sam facepalms at that idea.

"...at least you're not hurt."

"We're fine," she giggled.

"....do you have any more beer?"

"I think she's had a little much." Nailah snickers, clearly not 100% sober herself.

"Well I'm glad things are going... okay," she says, looking at Nailah a bit warily.

"I'm not drunk. I'm so sober, I could drive to Canada right now."

"...maybe you should head back to your room."

"Sam....Sam...." Haley said, taking a few steps towards her. "It's....it's okay," she slurred. "I'm so fine right now."

She smiled drunkenly at Sam, and tried to put her arm around her. "My god your hair, is like....gorgeous. And your eyes. I think we should be friends."

"See? She's fine." she says since Haley clearly has correctly identified Sam as gorgeous, so she must have her senses about her.

"I love it here, you guys. I was so scared that I was gonna hate it, or no one would like me. But this is awesome."

"As long as you don't try flying again tonight."

"Got it. We'll stick to the ground!" she nods before looking back towards the dorms. "We made it pretty far though."

"Crossh my heart," Haley nodded solemnly, crossing the wrong side of her chest.

"Well you were... going pretty fast, there."

"Right? It was great!"

"I guess it was... kind of impressive?"

Except for that bit at the end.

"Just needs more practice."

"Yeah. It's gonna be awesome once we get it right," she slurred.
