* Later That Evening *

The drive back from Maldon is pretty uneventful. As they walk down the hallway towards their rooms, Tereza clears her throat, "Thanks for coming out with us, Viv."

"That's one way to put it." She pauses, obviously working up to something, "Speaking of starting off new things... Viv, you want to stay the night?"

"What?" Blue-green swirled across her skin as she looked paniced, confused, embarassed and...hopefully between Tereza and Sam.

"Yeah, no requirements, no expectations," Tereza says, "We'd just like you to be happy. We're hoping to see if that could be with us."

"I...umm...yes." She gave a quick nod and held her hands out to Sam aand Tereza.

She clasps Viv's hand and gives it a squeeze.

"Consider me notified, M'Lady," Gemma says, sticking her head out of room across the hall. "I'm certain I can find some way to... keep myself busy."

Gemma just grins and walks off down the hallway.

"Well, now that that's settled," Tereza says with a blink. "Sam, you want to set up a movie? I can grab some popcorn."

"Anything you're in the mood for, Viv? Something light-hearted, maybe?"

After a bit, Tereza returns with a couple of steaming bags of microwave popcorn. She takes a large bowl and dumps the popcorn into it, passing it to Vivienne. "Try this."

"What is it?" She takes the bowl, taking out a piece and giving it a quick sniff before tasting it.

"Ooh!"

"Mandatory for movie night," she says as she pages through the selections.

"Also mandatory," Tereza says, stepping out of sight behind her closet door. She emerges back into view in a minute in shorts and a baggy t-shirt. "Comfy clothes." She hands Vivienne some sweat pants and a t-shirt.

She almost looks sad to put the bowl aside, but she takes the clothing and takes Tereza's place behind the closet door to change.

"It's all about being comfortable... and snacks," Tereza says, munching on some popcorn herself.

"And if you want more popcorn you're going to have to get some before Tereza eats it all," Sam says as she queues up Baby Driver on the screen.

"And don't reach in at the same time if you don't feel like counting your fingers," she chuckles and gets up to change into something more comfortable.

"Surely, she is not still THAT hungry after dinner."

Vivienne chuckled softly. "So long as she does not eat directly from the bowl, I think our extremities are safe."

"You kind of need a muzzle to make eating out of a bowl like that possible. I don't see that happening tonight," she says with a laugh.

"I think we'll be fine," Tereza says, cuddling up on one side of Vivienne as the movie starts.

By the time the movie was over, Tereza is thoroughly relaxed. She smiles happily, "That was fun. Enjoy the popcorn, Viv?"

"I did. Strange little grain." she picked up an unpopped kernel. "Some of them did not become...fluffy."

Sam's hand feels odd. Smoother than normal skin and a little cold, almost clammy and a bit slippery. Almost like an eel, but still retaining it's general shape. Something seems to slip and one of Sam's fingernails slowly slides out and falls off at her hand being squeezed.

Sam gets a brief panicked look in her eyes before she grits her teeth, letting out a sharp breath as she tries to concentrate on holding her form steady.
